45 years in Colorado Sunday @ the MSC
Good morning, BN!
45 years ago I left Illinois and moved to Colorado with Dad and Mom.
We're off to visit Mom in a bit, errands and chores.

Good morning Penny. My first visit to Colorado was 26 years ago. I went on an elk hunt past Eagle.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good late morning everyone!
It’s sunny but very cool….mid 60’s here. Definitely feeling like fall.
I visited Colorado once for a conference. Was very busy at the hotel with no time for sightseeing but I do remember pulling off onto the road side to take a few pictures of the amazing snow capped mountains.

Good afternoon.
My first trip to Colorado was 39 years ago. It was 31 years before I went back, then once more 3 years after that. The first trip was just a vacation, the other 2 were for Buffett concerts.

I don’t like putting away all of my planters. It makes me sad that spring and summer are over for us.

45 years in Colorado? Cool!
I can't believe it has been 32 years since I left there...
It was 59° here this morning. I am just glad to have some actual fall weather... I was THIS close to turning my A/C back last week!

Only been to Colorado once, drove from Ohio and back for business. That was when Bryan and I were working in the armored car industry and we were opening up a new branch in Denver. We had time to make a short drive further west to do some sight seeing and when we were driving back to the hotel we were looking for a place to get some dinner and I spied a Mexican restaurant and we had some of the best Mexican food ever. Of course I can't remember the name of the place.
Been busy with projects and chores around here today...

Good afternoon!
Colorado is so beautiful. First went there either ‘94 or ‘96 in the midst of a big Southwestern Road Trip that included Grand Canyon, Utah parks & Colorado’s Mesa Verde, Great Sand dunes & Colorado Springs area.
3 other trips out there over the past 5 years. Just spectacular! And the beer is pretty damn good too (except for Coors)
Jealous of pholks who live west of the Great Plains. So many awesome sights to see!
Guess I’ll buckle up for Monday. Enjoy your evening of the 17th day of October gang.

Re: 45 years in Colorado Sunday @ the MSC
Civil jury trial starts tomorrow. Car accident with the parties being $200,000 apart.
The courthouse mandatory mask regulation was to end at 5:00 last Friday. But, seeing as Lancaster county has the 3rd highest covid cases in our states 67 counties it was extended until November 15.
3 weeks ago during our homicide jury trial selection a prospective juror refused to wear his mask in the courtroom. The judge I work for found him in contempt and he was handcuffed and removed from the courtroom by deputy sheriffs.
He spent 3 hours in one of the courthouse holding cells until he decided he would comply rather than spend 30 days in jail. By the time he decided this the jury had been selected and the trial was underway.
Hoping we don’t have juror issues tomorrow.

Many CO experiences to think back on...
The initial "Phinster" meeting at the bar with those involved.....followed by the Phinster incident downtown a month or two later....
Surprising those at the PH meeting in Morrison.....
PHAW's Christmas Party
The Wedding.....
and the last time when I met Change and E at Trapper's....had the newspaper up so she couldn't see me but as she walked by I said, "HEY, Nice **!&$"....her head twisted around twice before she called me an A$$hole

Evening, peeps.
Went to Colorado once years ago for business. The gentleman hosting us had a backyard get together thing and what I remember most about that day was that it snowed on the morning but we were at that event and everyone was in shorts because in the afternoon it was in the high 60s or something. Gorgeous scenery. Crazy weather.

Yes, I sure did. After I read all those, I might venture a guess that you like to cause me a lot of grief... well, except for coming to the wedding.MICHIPHIN wrote: ↑October 17, 2021 7:33 pm Many CO experiences to think back on...

Re: 45 years in Colorado Sunday @ the MSC
I have lots of family history in Colorado Springs. My mother was born there in 1919 (or maybe Cripple Creek, I have records for both.) Her father died in 1921 from injuries suffered in a coal mining accident there.
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..
