Food Day SUNDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning Everyone!

Today is National Food Day -- WTHeck you may be saying? Isn't every day a food day???

But, I found this on the internet to it must be true [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

National Food Day focuses on healthy and nutritious food and takes place annually on October 24th.

One of the themes of the day aims to help people to “Eat Real.” This theme is defined as “cutting back on sugar drinks, overly salted packaged foods and fatty, factory-farmed meats in favor of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and sustainably raised protein.” The observance involves some of the country’s most prominent food activists, too. Their vision includes food that can be healthy, affordable, and produced. At the same time, the goal is to produce food with care for the environment, farm animals, and the people who grow, harvest, and serve it in mind.

Going back to daughter's house this afternoon to finish hanging that wallpaper. After a stop at Kevin's Mom's house to give her more news on having the remainder of the flood damaged material removed from her basement.

Morning Linda, Deb & BN.
Good luck at the mother in laws!

Cable guy was here for almost 2hrs yesterday but it seems to be working ok, so far... Trying to make small talk I said I guess you've been pretty busy this morning (since he was 20 min past the window time). Have to admit I was a lil irritated when he said No, not at all. I said nothing out loud but there was many not so nice thoughts going through my head

Moving outside plants into the basement at my aunt's house today since summer is really over.

Happy Food Day Sun y'all!

I agree with you Deb. Both Linda & her daughter are very crafty though so I think it'll be beautiful. Headed up there next weekend so maybe I'll get to see it.

Good morning, BN! :)

Feeling a little more amongst the living this morning. I can breathe a little better, eye (just the right one) is leaking a little less, and coughing is slowing down.

Smiles and hugs to those I missed over the last few days.

Good almost afternoon, at least to my fellow east coasters.

I'm debating if I should torture myself this afternoon. For network TV purposes, the Carolina Panthers are my local football team. The Giants are playing the Panthers today so the team of my misspent youth will be televised here. Should I watch and risk agita?

Here, too! Enjoyed a blustery walk with the pup and some football.

Mr. Lime is prepping up some real food dinner - meatloaf, roasted potatoes and Caesar salad. [smilie=yum.gif]
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

Hi there! I had a big burger an hour away and got 2 pieces of pie to go. I sampled both, coconut cream and caramel crunch.

I sampled both.

Boy, am i full.

I'm going to stuff more down the pie hole.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

   Yes, I realized that after I typed it!
And he's doing better, too! Had the same cold - and with just having the tonsillectomy it's difficult to cough. :( But he's going back to work tomorrow, and eating a few more things each day. Still nothing acidic, and even bread hurts. Thanks for checking!

After a late night of football watching my Buckeyes beat up on Indiana and pug sitting, we got up very early and went to our old house to have breakfast with the youngest daughter, son in law and bonus grandson! Since his mom and stepdad moved from Miami to Chicago over the summer while he was here, that means he can come back to Ohio for the occasional long weekend! He loves his new room at our old house! Which makes us very happy!
We came home and I did several loads of laundry
Just finished dinner and honestly I'm ready for a shower and bed!

He seems to be all better now! His eye surgery was a success! The vet gave me some treats for the big dogs after they removed the stitches and honestly I think he just couldn't tolerate the different "cookie".

Glad he's better! I'm finding out that our beagle seems to have a sensitive tummy. So far it's only been gas coming out but omg 🤢😂
