Good morning BN. The east has storms today. The show may get some rain.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good Morning Guys.
Some heavy storms late yesterday afternoon/early evening dumped a fair amount of rain, big winds knocked out quite a bit of power, but I came through unscathed. 50% chance storms kick up again 3-4 o'clock again. High Temps (for us) & dry air come back for Friday & Saturday.

Fiance' Lynn dealing with some poison ivy (again) , so keeping a little distance there. No definitive plans over the next week which seems very strange (and good to be honest). Enjoy your Thursday gang!

Morning Phriends!

We are back to Manatee after spending some great quality time with family then some great quiet time just us at Saint Pete Beach.

Amazing how fast 3 weeks go by. While we love the beach at St Pete, it is always great to get back to our favorite home beach here at Anna Maria.

Now to get myself motivated to do some Work. :pirate: 8)

Hope everyone is doing amazing!

Might listen in to the concert tonight.

Have a great day.

:( Poor thing. Hope she's not too miserable.

(((((((Mooooogy)))))) When you stop by next.

Hi George!!!! :D Vacation sounds good!

Nonsense going on here at work - State Survey (an audit) started yesterday. Appears that it might be a disgruntled employee that filed the complaint. We shall see. NOT fun. :-?

Last night I got a wild hair and cleaned out a cabinet in the dining room that was just collecting 'stuff'. I tossed a bag full of unused beverage glasses, along some other souvenirs, save a small box of things to go in storage, and washed up the other things to put back. That felt good. :D

Yearly mammogram came back negative. :)

Back to this work stuff.

I walked up to the reception desk at LensCrafters and said I had an appointment at 10:00. The receptionist said "awesome". I don't know if she was in awe that I had an appointment or was just awestruck at my aura.

Hello all.

Daughter Bridget still positive for covid. It’s been a week. At least her fever is finally gone. But her cough and extremely soar throat are still hanging on.

Afternoon BNers

Another double game day. The girls just couldn't get started yesterday. They got a few on base but couldn't score. The Las Vegas girls were just better. They played 4 pool games, now on to single elimination games.
Good luck Ladies!!

Astros play Guardians this evening.

I was supposed to have the day off today but got called in. It's dark and nasty looking right now with flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder.

That just don't sound right.... Astros playing Cleveland I can compute!
The Mariners are headed home after taking 2 out of 3 from the dreaded Yankees. The play the Angels Fri/Sat/Sun with a doubleheader on Sat. Should be an interesting series after the brawl they had in LA. Then the Yankees again for 3 and then on to Texas.

Today is Cleon Jones' 80th birthday. He played left field for the Mets for several years, including 1969 when they won the World Series. He caught a fly ball for the last out of the final game of the series. If I'm not mistaken, the batter who hit that fly ball was Dave Johnson. The only other World Series the Mets won was in 1986. Dave Johnson was their manager that year.

Funny story about Cleon Jones. He jogged after a ball in the outfield once. Gil Hodges was the Mets manager at the time. He came out of the dugout and everyone thought he was going to talk to the pitcher. He went right by the pitcher's mound, kept walking, went all the way out to left field and took Cleon out of the game. I can't imagine a manager doing that today.

When I was coming back from my eye exam this morning, the license plate on the car in front of me was ZEBRA 1. It was a white car and it had black stripes on the trunk lid.
