Good morning peoples.

I was thinking of going to the Pelicans game last night, the promotion was Dinosaur Night so I would have fit right in. I decided not to go and I missed an epic choke job. At one point in the game they were winning 13-4. In the 9th inning they were winning 13-7. They lost 14-13. I think I'll pass on tonight's game too, the promotion is Mystery Balls.

Not much going on here. Another Guardians game this evening.

I think I am going to do laundry during the daylight hours. They are asking not to use any more power than necessary before. But after 8, I am usually involved in an Astros game and I forget. Hope I don't shut down the power grid.

Is that for the Mystery Balls? It's a promotion they've done a few other times. They set up a table in the concourse of the ballpark and put a bunch of small boxes on the table. There are autographed baseballs in the boxes, current and former major leaguers and Pelicans players, but you don't know which player is in each box. You pay $20, pick a box and you're stuck with whoever you get. The money goes to the Pelicans Community Fund, which donates money to local charities. A few years ago I got former Atlanta Braves outfielder Dale Murphy. The only other time I did it I got a Pelicans pitcher named Oscar something, I don't remember his last name. I think he's out of baseball now.

Hi there! I signed a bunch of balls once. A local store honored a high school baseball team with lettered balls. Pain the hand! I did my best calligraphy on those stoo pid stitched spheres for free.

The Pelicans lost today too. At the start of the 6th inning they were winning 2-1. At the end of the 6th inning they were losing 9-2. One of their relief pitchers has only pitched in 2 games for a total of 2 innings. He's given up 12 runs.

So the Mystery Balls sounds like a cool concept. Was expecting something correlated with beach balls or Tennis balls or ping pong balls, etc. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
