National Lazy WEDNESDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning.......we all have permission to be lazy today so have at it !!!
On August 10th, National Lazy Day gives us permission to relax and kick back. So, we’re going to be a bit lazy here.
#NationalLazyDay
As you can see, there is not much information regarding this annually celebrated holiday as we do not feel like doing any research. Actually, we do not feel like doing anything at all. Consequently, we are in our hammocks with a couple of good books and glasses of lemonade and iced tea. Yes, it is a Lazy Day. We choose to be lazy rather than tell much more about this day.

Good morning, ladies.I've been lazy most all of my life, painting girls and sleeping late.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I've got some time.... I'll do a little web surfing and see what I can find out about it.SaltSaltSalt wrote: As you can see, there is not much information regarding this annually celebrated holiday as we do not feel like doing any research. Then again maybe not today, how about tomorrow? Maybe tomorrow I'll check into it.
Tomorrow wouldn't happen to be National Procrastination Day would it?

Meee tooo!!!
Big event here at work. FINALLY. The hospital I work at is rated throughout the year. In 2020, our statistics (nothing to do with the caring of patients) were the worst in the company. In 2021 we were in the top 3 all year long. So we get a party, food, gifts, and I heard everyone gets a check for $200 after taxes. We'll see.

My first job after college was at the Bank of New York, now BNY Mellon after merging with Mellon Bank several years ago. The Bank of New York was founded by Alexander Hamilton in 1784, or maybe it was 1786, I don't remember. For the bank's bicentennial all employees got $200. I think you had to be there at least 6 months to get the money.

I just got back from grocery shopping. When the cashier gave me my receipt she told me to have a blessed day. It must be a southern thing, nobody ever told me that when I lived in NY. They told me a lot of other things.

Afternoon BNers
Anorher lazy day here. I feel like I could use a nap.
Astros game tonight. Dusty Baker is still isolating with covid. He tested positive when they were playing the Guardians. Astros owner sent his plane to bring him home.

I have actually heard that phrase several times around here. It's always from black people though. When I say
it to them first they always seem surprised and smile and say something like "and you have one too".
