Bama Breeze Promo Single

Post by phjim »

The single for the song "Bama Breeze" has now made it's way to country radio stations. The song will be on Jimmy Buffett's new album "Take the Weather With You" due out on October 10th, 2006. The music video for the song will be out in September. There's a Real Audio sample of Jimmy performing the song at All About Country (thanks to Mike for passing that along).

You can listen to the original version of "Bama Breeze" by Josh Kear (mp3).

The original version of the song contains the lines:
Second set the owner Charlie get’s up with the band beer in his hand and sings Curtis Lowe, and he raises a toast – here’s to Ronnie and the boy’s, everybody make some noise

The version by Jimmy was changed to:
Second set the owner LULU get’s up with the band, beer in her hand and sings Free Bird low – and she raises a toast, here’s to Ronnie and the boy’s everybody make some noise

And I live in the one metro area in the US without a country music radio station. [smilie=notimpressed.gif] :-?

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Hmmm. Maybe I should check into them every so often.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

I like our country station. Except for one thing.... when they play JB, they play Margaritaville....

Time to start emailing them and making requests..... 8)

:o Our country radio station plays 5 o'clock Somewhere, Trip around the Sun, Boats to Build, Sea of Heartbreak, and sometimes Hey Good Lookin' :D

I have no doubt they'll play Bama Breeze...but I'll ensure it by requesting it....repeatedly. [smilie=blush.gif]

We have 2 major country stations here in Indy. I have called one of them several times and they at least knew what I was talkinga bout. I haven't heard them play it yet but again at least they knew what I was talking about. The other station, the gal suggested I call one particular DJ that deals with all the new music. He's been on vacation but will continue to try when he gets back.
