I'm pretty hard on phones, and I had one Motorola that died on me (a friend had the same phone, and the same thing happened- granted, we dropped them on concrete, but I do that with every phone!). The most reliable I've had were all Nokias (I think the only way to kill one is run over it), but they were all tiny bricks with limited features. I have a Sony-Ericson S710 now (I forget what model replaced it, but it's orange) that I love. I have beaten on it so much and it's still going strong!

I like mine so far. Had a piece of lint under the screen when I got it and they replaced it under waranty, no questions. Then had a problem with a key and they replaced it again (after 9 months). I would complain about the phone if I had to pay for replacements but since they've been covered, no complaints, good service and love the size and the way it can be customized very easily with Motorola Phone Tools

My last company actually designed the keypads for the RAZR. Unlike most phones, they do not have a layer of Mylar holding the domes in place. The dome may have gotten inverted or you have something stuck in it. That should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

My wife and I had cell phones a couple years ago but got rid of them when the contract expired. We just weren't using them enough to justify the expense. I had many dropped calls trying to call home from work, and we live in a valley so you had to hang out the window on the 2nd. floor to get reception.

I had some problems with mine shutting off by itself, but I called and they said to send it in to replace it, and it started working again...I have dropped it (and my 3 yearold thrown it) like a million times, and its been fine though. I hve sand under the screen from the beach, I didn't think that would be covered but now I'll have to call and see.

The Samsung A900 is a great thin flip phone. I hate my LG stick phone. The Samsung also takes amazing photos. The cell carriers are also required to provide locating services for 911 service. Cingular and T-mobile can provide excellent coverage on all 911 calls, the other majors can only provide locating if you are outside in the line of site of gps satellites when you place the call.

Went with the Motorola E815. Little bigger than the Razr and a MUCH better radio in it... It's a bit more durable as well...
