Time to take this out of "Tour Dates and Rumors". :)

We are not confirmed at going, or any plans yet. Too far off for us. :)

Talk amongst yourselves. :P

CJ tagged me on FB for information. This is what I posted there.

Prepare for the altitude, and drink lots of water. Alcohol affects you a little differently this high up. The area around Red Rocks is not an easy terrain, so agreed with skipping the flip flops. That time of year it could snow, or it could be 90. Bring the sun screen. Google hotels around Red Rocks. Most of those first 10-15 listed are fine. Traffic around the Denver metro area can be a pain, especially during rush hour, so plan ahead. Seating are just 'bench' type, so bring a cushion or a small blanket. There is tailgating, but please clean up after yourselves. The parking area is not like a flat asphalt surface at many venues, so be careful walking around.

You're welcome. Glad you got in. I didn't see it until late this morning. I was in the waiting room 20 minutes before and still only ended up with row 45. Not complaining, I was just hoping for closer.

One question I have is about the tailgating situation there. When I bought the tickets, there was an option to add on a shuttle from Illegal Pete's or Union Station. Is there not a lot of tailgating at the venue? Is there a reason I should go back and add one of them?

Oddly enough, I didn't get in until 45 minutes AFTER the presale started and got Row 39 night one and Row 30 night two. Was only trying for two tickets though.

Google Red Rocks/maps. This isn't a big, flat asphalt surface. There's no boats, hot tubs, and the like. ;) We did tailgate, but there's no painted parking spaces, just gravel. Nothing is elaborate, but it was a lot of fun. Food, booze, music, walking around. But no flip flops. ;)

So no reason to do the shuttle thing then? It just struck me as odd as I have never seen that for other shows I've been to in lots of other cities. Since I've never been to Red Rocks, I didn't want to just assume we would be able to tailgate at the venue and end up disappointed. We are traveling way too far. I don't want to screw this up! :D

Its been a long time since I've seen a show at Red Rocks. Anyone have insight on this? Any need to add a shuttle & tailgate in Denver before?

Am I allowed to be annoyed that I was the one who had access to the presale, and somehow ended up with seats way behind everyone else posting here... :-? It's probably because I was getting four tickets. Should have told my wife's cousin to take a hike. :D

Wow that was an interesting way to distribute tickets. I'm not sure I could think of a harder way to do it, but got 3 in the 40th row!

Well, the cousin is the one who lives in CO and we are staying with them when we come, so I was getting all the tickets so we would all be together. I understand the whole ticket process is a crapshoot. When I first got in yesterday it said there were no tickets available, and I had to just keep refreshing the page for quite awhile before any popped up at all for me. I didn't try again today until well after they went on sale and a couple people reported getting closer seats. I'm still thrilled to be going, just a little annoyed.
