Apparently there is the Holiday Inn and a Days Inn about 1 mile from the stadium. Nothing else is close.
FWIW, I got the Holiday Inn on Priceline for $53 a night. If anyone wants to use priceline, the zone is "stadium" and it appears that the only hotel that priceline has in this zone is the Holiday Inn.

You can stay at any of the Airport hotels, it's only about a 10 minute drive, they might have cheaper rates...

Yes they would. Including my time as a temp, I've been here 8 1/2 years and I've never taken a sick day. It would be a little suspicious if I was out sick the same time as a Buffett concert within driving distance of NY.

Well there's your problem.. you need to call in sick every once in awhile..
My wife and I will be making the trek from the 'Burgh to Philly for the Sat show. We are looking for some people to tailgate with...perhaps share some grill space with us in exchange for jello shots, etc.
We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Stadium...I imagine it will be full of fellow PHs.
Hey Coldwater:
It's a little early, but as a former "Burgher" I (and my wife) would be happy to host you and yours on your trip into Philly. I usually load up the grill, burgers, dogs, ribs, BEER, picnic table and plop the shark fin on the SUV. Let me know and I'll be in touch as the date approaches.
The Philly shows are so far away it is almost hard to get excited this early...but since I got dogged on the Pittsburgh show..I need something to help me make it through the summer.

There's a nice Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill with a really good ribs restaurant, maybe check there
There's the Holiday Inn in Cherry Hill (NJ) about 20 minutes from the Stadiums and also the Cherry Hill Hilton both on Route 70. The Hilton is only 1 mile closer than the Holiday Inn but it overlooks the Cooper River Park if you care about such things. The Holiday Inn is across the street from a big dirt area under construction, but it's cheaper.
Any other South Jersey questions, I would be happy to answer.

Thanks...I'll probably have some as it gets closer.

Were you pre-sale or general?
General
Excellent!
Although, not crazy about the fact that someone in MA would get tix before someone who is less than 20 minutes away... maybe for those prices they will be hand delivering mine.
Latest Update from the reliable? folks at New Era Tickets...
"ALL tickets were mailed last Thursday (March 31) via bulk mail. Bulk mail takes awhile to sort and send so people in the Philadelphia area should expect to have them in about a week or so (yesterday) and folks outside of PA, should expect a week and a half to two weeks. So by next Friday, April 15th all tickets should be delivered."
Also said the tailgate lot is the ACME lot at Broad and Pattison (???) and he thinks the lot will open at 1:00pm (doubt that!)
We are driving down from CT. I just booked rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott through Priceline for $75/ night...it is downtown and a few miles from the stadium but it's a straight run down Broad Street. It probably is as close as the airport. My son lives in Philly, and we always stay there for that price through Priceline. The place is VERY nice...We always put in a 2 1/2 star hotel, and the few times we weren't placed at the Courtyard, we were put into the Sheraton or the Doubletree which were even nicer. ... and rumor has it that when JB played Camden in the past, he stayed at the Ritz Carlton which is right around the corner.
My "Tailgate Parking" passes arrived this weekend. Still no tickets, but I've been told the remainder of the tickets were going out via Bulk Mail this weekend. And should be delivered in a week to 10 days. (Heard this same thing 2 weeks ago!)
SO at this point I have two tailgate parking passes. Tailgate lots are about two blocks away from the stadium in the JETRO lot.
