Got my tix in the mail yesterday! I met the guy that runs the themargaritastore.com website at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. He has a motorized cart with I think it is three Margaritaville blenders on it and of course Sirius satellite with RM. He said he will be there for the show.

Yeah I allready checked to see if the Braves were playing. Sadly they don't play again at home until Friday. I haven't had any luck talking her into going, so I may breakdown and come down by myself.BahamaBreeze wrote:WAHOO! Just wish there was a Braves game the night before. Re: Who's Going to Lakewood in ATL on 4/27..Tuesday?
I have been to a number of Buffett shows at Lakewood and have always seen RV's and Campers. We usually park on the backside (the old Lakewood Speedway side) where the lake and old grandstands are, and this year I am going down with some friends that have a camper that they want to take down for the show.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some info/tips on taking a camper down to lakewood. For one thing, how much will they charge to park a camper? What time will the parking lot open?
Thanks for help...

Every year that seems to be the $64,000 question each year, when will the lots open. I can't figure out their plan if they have one, do they have a set time (noon) or do they just wait til we become such a traffic nuisance that they have no choice. Last year I sat on a side street with several class A motorhomes so there is room outside till the gates open. As for cost, cars are 20 so figure at least double, but you can setup where you have a lot of room which is usually along the lake and edges of the p-lot.TTBInATL wrote:I have been to a number of Buffett shows at Lakewood and have always seen RV's and Campers. Now for a serious question, how much will you charge to use the restroom in that camper? LOL

Got my ticket from Stubhub yesterday. Hope it isn't a fake. Assumed it was going to be a hard ticket. Is there any way to validate it's authenticity before the show. I don't want to spend precious tailgate time trying to buy a ticket.

So you got one of those "print at home" tickets. Hmmmm...can you call Ticket Masters and have them check the scan number? I have never heard of anyone having a bad deal from stubhub. Maybe with eBay I would be a little leery.Parrothead27330 wrote:Got my ticket from Stubhub yesterday. Hope it isn't a fake. Assumed it was going to be a hard ticket. Re: Who's Going to Lakewood in ATL on 4/27..Tuesday?
Did you hear the announcement out of Athens yesterday? Because of the amount of trash that has been left behind after football games, they're changing how people tailgate. On North Campus no tailgating till 4 hours before the game, no tents, kegs, generators, televisions, amplified music, grills and cookers, tables longer than 4 feet and household furniture. They're going to enforce bans on golf carts, and grills in the parking decks.
Corporate tailgating is also severely curtailed by the new rules. No tailgate can have private security. Professional bartenders are no longer allowed -- all tailgates must be self-serve. Tailgates can not promote alcohol or tobacco products on campus. Fences, gating, and other physical barriers limiting access are prohibited. Corporations can no longer limit admission to their tailgate areas, nor can demand you wear wristbands, hand stamps and other methods that limit access to public property within a tailgate. Sale of services or admission is prohibited. There can be no product giveaways for promotional purposes. There can be no DJ services on campus. (copied from WSB).
It all stems from the University having to spend the money to remove some 70 tons of trash after each game (but they are also saying its to protect that part of the campus). I realize this is a slightly different event but it does set a presedence that could be adopted at places like Lakewood. It might also explain why the gates at Lakewood don't want to open until late.
