Who's going to Stars Fell On Alabama 3/17 - 3/20, 2011
Hey Phlock,
Hope that everyone has had a great summer so far....going to the concerts, taking "Road Trips" to support Parrot Head events, taking the boat out to catch the sunset, pulling up a beach chair and sticking your toes in the sand at the beach or burning up the blender making a few "Boat Drinks".
Our summer along the Gulf Coast has not been the best at all. From Louisana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and now Texas. You have seen on the news of what's happening to our little bit of paradise. It's heartbreaking to all of us that have grown up along the Gulf Coast.
There has been a lot of you asking "Will Stars Fell On Alabama still be happening?" YES!!!!!!!!!
We were the first group to come back after Ivan, we were there after Katrina and we will be there in March to support the community. We as Parrot Heads know what it's all about supporting our local communities to make it a better place to live.
The Stars Board along with our club members have been busy since you all were here...getting all the details all lined up for the 12th Annual "STARS FELL ON ALABAMA".

We were just talking about this at tonights social......
Me! Me!
Me! Me!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Lordy Be,
Another time record.........3 days!!!!!!
The Island House is booked FULL!!!!!!!!
Don't start freakin out on us if you did not get a room at the Island House. This is why we have a overflow hotel the Fairfield Inn & Suites and will start a waiting list at the Island House hotel.
This is how all this works.....
You will need to call the Fairfield Inn & Suite to book a room.
251-543-4444
Use Code PHOO to get the Parrot Head rate.
Once you have booked your room at the overflow hotel. Then call the Island House 800-264-2642 to be placed on the waiting list for a room at the Island House.
Once there are cancellations people on the waiting list will be moved into a room at the Island House.
Promise...the waiting list WORKS!!!!!!
So, if you missed out on booking a room at the Island House....the sooner you book your room at the overflow and get on the waiting list your name the sooner your name will come up to be moved.
REMINDER.....You Have To Be Registered To Stay At The Island House.
This means that when registration closes and you have not registered your room will be canceled!
I would not wait to get registered
Everyone have a great weekend.

I'm officially depressed and sick. I don't think we'll be able to go to STARS. When I first heard of the dates, I thought: "OH GOODY !!! It'll be warmer later in the month !!!" Then I remembered my grandson's birthday is that very weekend. ugh....this is not good. I thought the hubby wouldn't want to go again next year, but he said he did and I got all excited. Now..........

just how good is the grandson's memory? if you really pump it up next year, he might forget you blew him off this year for fun on the beach..citcat wrote:I'm officially depressed and sick. No, not a bad Nana!!!! Maybe they could celebrate his birthday the week before or after???? You're giving them 8 months to plan, I think that's a reasonable request! When I thought I was going to Gulf Shores and my daughter needed to reschedule my granddaughter's first birthday party, I told her I wouldn't be there last weekend(ended up I could have been there). She arranged for it to be this weekend instead. The baby's birthday is June 30th!citcat wrote:Would I be a bad Nana if I already thought of that?RinglingRingling wrote:just how good is the grandson's memory? if you really pump it up next year, he might forget you blew him off this year for fun on the beach..citcat wrote:I'm officially depressed and sick.
