Just remember, Nashville cops take a dimmer view of "working" for beads than NO cops.. Keep the offenses to bailable and good taste

Ah, crap it's raining there. Bummer. But I'm sure everybody will have a good time, nevertheless !!!!! We were there the year it rained so hard, it flooded. We saw Noah go by in the ark with two Parrotheads of every kind on it.

Enjoy the show. How exciting to get the first show of the St. Somewhere Tour.

Flash flood warnings here.
We're soaked, but what the heck.
Hanging out with friends and my step son from Alabama.
Pretty doggone nice, I.M.O.

Before I forget, because I'm old ...
We got to see Marty, Mo, Dave and Janice at Margaritaville Friday night, but between dodging the raindrops and trying to stay dry, I didn't see them Saturday. It was great hanging out with Garry (and stepson Tony), Debbie and Mark (great margarita at Merchant's). And after 5 years it was great to finally see Kasey again.

And after 26 years it was great to finally meet Kasey (with a "K"), and GUESS who Tony's new idol is, Mr. Mayor of HOOTERSville!LIPH wrote:Before I forget, because I'm old ...

And let me just get this out of the way, if I never hear Too Drunk To Karaoke again I won't be upset. What a bad song.

Re: Who is going to Nashville April 27
Too Drunk To Karaoke and that other he did about "Stupid Information" or something were the two worst songs of the night. Other than a couple other covers and that GOD-AWFUL C.I.P., it was a really great set list.
First concert of mine ever in Nashville, and, as expected, Jimmy did not disappoint.
And I'll echo Larry's earlier statement, it was great seeing Marty & Mo, Janice & Dave, and Jen/comtnfish. Some of my very favorite people.

It was great seeing you again, too! You will have to post or send the picture of you & I! I feel like I should have left my spot at the bar to experience more of the block party but I wasn't wearing enough to brave the cold. lol. It was also great to meet a couple other people. I have to apologize to Jill as I only got to see her for a minute! But it was great to just meet someone new from Buffettnews, as well.LIPH wrote:Before I forget, because I'm old ...

I posted up pictures on my Facebook & made the album public. This link should work, but it may not... it's photos from the restaurant during the block party, the Jimmy Buffett show, then I left a little early from Jimmy's show (sadly) to support our friends, Slightly Stoopid, at Marathon Music Works (most of the music playing in the venue at Bridgestone before Jimmy Buffett came out were Slightly Stoopid songs... he played them numerous times before every show... would have been awesome if they played the same show):

Edit: I really wish he would drop songs like, "Too Drunk to Karaoke"... & replace some of his duller songs with "Love & Luck," "Barometer Soup," or "Fruitcakes." I'm sorry but I love those happy songs & to see them live would be great. I have yet to see him play either live. I literally almost peed myself when he played "Schoolboy Heart" back at the Philly show.

Re: Who is going to Nashville April 27
My husband and I really enjoyed the concert. I also agree with the majority about the too drunk to karaoke song. And Kasey, please don't feel bad. It was nice meeting you. I'm glad you had friends there to enjoy the time with. There was no room in the downstairs bar anyway for any more people. The rain stopped most of the street party and Margaritaville was packed. My husband and I got a table upstairs and really enjoyed Mishka's live performance. We didn't stay much longer after eating and went back to the hotel to freshen up.
I'm going to Frisco this Friday with a friend and it looks like we'll have some nice, sunny weather!! I'm excited to experience the Frisco tailgate scene........hopefully, I'll make it out alive to tell my stories.....
