Good question. Anyone know much about the lay of the land? I will have Duckett with me, and No Parrot, who can be the photographer (he's tall and doesn't want to be associated with us crazy PHs).

Do you have a seat or will you be queuing early to get to the front of the floor?Snowparrot wrote:no shoes wrote:So where is the Buffett News photo going to be............??

We can either come and find you in the queue and we can take a photo with La Cigale in the background or if you are going to be at the Hard Rock that is another option.
Where is everyone else planning to be late afternoon on concert day?

Hard Rock? Paris has a Hard Rock? That's bizarre.
I see by the map that it's some distance from La Cigale, at least for me with my uncertain foot.
We do have seats, and while I want to be part of the pre-concert crowd, I'm uncertain about walking far or standing much.
Other options? Anyone?

I suggested the Hard Rock as the main tailgate has been arranged for there. I also think its a strange place to choose but I guess its because we went there when Jimmy played Olympia. You can use the bus to get around.Snowparrot wrote:Hard Rock? Paris has a Hard Rock? That's bizarre.

We will probably make a visit to the Hard Rock sometime during the afternoon but doubt we will be there for long.......
DNW - what do you think? We need to find a good place for us all to meet and to have our photo taken

Re: Who's going to Paris? September 28th La Cigale
I know it's unreasonable to go to Paris and not walk much --I lived there!--but I'm just getting the cast off my foot tomorrow and apparently still have to be cautious for 6 more weeks (which will end about Hallowe'en, when I'm in Key West).
We will have a French-numbered cell phone with us. I would think the best place for a photo would be outside La Cigale.... or at some really famous landmark.
I'll bring the Duck (Duckett, that is) and you can cluster around him.

Re: Who's going to Paris? September 28th La Cigale
This is going to be a busy week. Arrive in Paris from Amsterdam on Wednesday, Jimmy at Le Trabendo on Thursday, take the Mistress of Agave on a ride to the French countryside on Friday, Jimmy at La Cigale on Saturday, join Alcoholics Anonymous on Sunday, head home on Monday.....I think I can handle it!

Re: Who's going to Paris? September 28th La Cigale
We arrive from Canada on Friday morning. Get to hotel, have lunch and a nap, see some Parisian stuff, have supper, go to a play. Nos Femmes, starring one of our favourite actors, Daniel Auteuil.
Have a good sleep, do some shopping and sightseeing, maybe meet up with BNers at Hard Rock, nap?, dining, drinking wine and strong coffee, go to the concert....
Sunday? A park, a picnic, a tour?
Monday? More shopping, sightseeing, dining, drinking, napping...
Tuesday, go home.
