Still wish that some day, some how I could catch Jimmy doing a solo acoustic show in some little venue........although my chances are most likely slim to none for something like that....

Re: 2011 Tour Date Rumors
I will NEVER forget October 2001. I took my Dad to see the Montessori benefit show after 9/11 in Long Island. It wasn't quite a solo, acoustic show, but it was just "The Beach Band".Bfan53again wrote:Still wish that some day, some how I could catch Jimmy doing a solo acoustic show in some little venue........although my chances are most likely slim to none for something like that....
It was by far, the most amazing set list ever. On top of that, it was a crowd of approx. 200. I had third row, on the aisle seats. Just amazing.
I'd love to see another show like that.

No worries, Concord works just as well. Or how about that amphitheater up in Marysville...give the central valley some love!ragtopW wrote:Brown Eyed Girl wrote:Anaheim would make no sense...it's too close to Irvine and SD. As much as I love Jimmy, Dublin is a pilgrimage for U2 fans. I did it July '09 and it was very special-Bfan53again wrote:citcat wrote:ooooooooooooooooh what a great road trip !!!!!!!ragtopW wrote:I dare you to find a MargaritaScarletB wrote:Now THERE'S a road trip I'd love to take!Irish Parrot wrote:Dublin,Ireland. You heard it here first!

Re: 2011 Tour Date Rumors
Agree a solo acoustic show in a small venue would be incredible. I remember going through the interent archives it looks like Jimmy did that very thing at the Sunrise Musical Theater sometime in the 90s- that is about a 10min drive from where my parents live and where my high school graduation was!
Awesome new venues to experience would be Red Rocks and Royal Albert Hall. Also I would like to be able to attend a Key West show someday.
I go to Pizza Hut Park in Frisco every year since I can drive there from Austin, but it reall is pretty large and impersonal.
I went to Jones Beach, oh, 12yrs ago and the show was fantastic and special. Bayfront Park was my first show and a great place as well. Does Miami Marine Stadium still exist? ie "Live by the Bay"
Another Caribbean show with enough time to get there at reasonable cost would be good. I would put money on him doing Paris again next year, and think he has been mentioning Australia enough that he will do it- unfortunately don't think I could make that show...unless it was at the Sydney Opera House, then I might have to s*** it up and go halfway around the world...
Along those lines, how about Jimmy in:
Presidio in SF
Beijing, live on the Great Wall
Shanghai on the Bund
Cairo in front of the pyramids
Hong Kong waterfront
Havana once Americans can travel there

Re: 2011 Tour Date Rumors
At the Irvine show on 10/21/10 Jimmy said that if anyone was around Sydney the first two weeks of January 2011 they should come out to another show.
