Just bought 2 VIP tickets, and lucky for me I have a friend in NOLA ,

Do you really think he will play ? Or will it be some sorta video message .... 150 dollars is pretty cheap even if it was just for 3 songs ya know ?

I read black tie optional ?

Tickets can be purchased online at NOAAHH.org. VIP tickets are $150 and will include second balcony viewing area and served hors d'oeuvres. General Admission tickets are $100. Students with valid student IDs can purchase tickets at the door for $50. The event is black tie optional. All ticket holders will enjoy an open bar and an outstanding selection of New Orleans dishes provided by Kajun Kettle and Southern Hospitality Catering who will be joined with local chefs.

I can email Snake and ask what is going on for real ... imma be p*** if i just dropped $300 and used my last airline points for a video message ...

I'm sure that he will be there in person, not just a video message. Take notes and let us know all about the event. Enjoy. :D

The VIP tix sold out pretty fast. We logged on around an hour after your post and they were gone. We bought GA tickets which still offer an open bar and catered food. As far as we can read the description of the event, this is a live performance headed up by Mr. Tousssaint with the other performers joining him. The most exciting part to us is the "meet and mingle" portion with the celebs. To actually meet Jimmy and converse with him will be the next check on our bucket list. We found rooms for $71 at the Hilton Garden Inn on St. Peter's right next door to the venue. Cat has the formal attire covered. I have a nice dark suit but I will look into renting a tux.

By the way, take a look at the venue web page. Pretty swanky!

Also, we noticed that the advertised time of the event is 7-10PM, but on the ticket web page it lists the times as 6-10PM. Don't be late!

I managed to snag the VIP tickets , before anyone knew that Jimmy was at the show.. ya think we will even get inside handshake distance of him. ? looks like if u have GA tix, u may be down on the floor, which is a good view. My question is, how many tickets can exist for this event, my friend in New Orleans said its not a big place. They probably kept his name off the bill as long as possible, cause now its basically what people are saying a concert... I mean its even being advertised on Margaritaville.

All that said, i am gonna wear a black shirt/grey tie, black dress pants combo ? the only time i have been in Nola was after Katrina, --- and i had an m-16 and a military uniform on , i was not there to attend concerts LOL.

I remember going past the Superdome for the first time, and was like "wow , this is a hot mess". Then we got dropped off at the Riverfront. It was surreal.. And that was the part that was not bad....

I was at the show in the balcony and tried to meet Jimmy but had no luck at all. Did anyone get to meet him?
He played 5.5 songs, of which only Margaritaville was his.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn right around the corner. Jimmy was in pants, shoes, and a tie, not sure I've ever seen that before.

Nope, couldnt even get close , We had VIP access bracelets, but camped out in front of the stage instead, I saw him in the doorway of the balcony when Dr John was being getting his award , but it looked like the band, and a few others were between him and the guests. I did get a couple hello's from the band on their way out, he stopped and took a pic with some lady, and was out the same door he came in. I love his music, but I have actually met and shook hands with 3 sitting United States Presidents , with less trouble in 36 years , LOL..
