Post by Amo »

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will ring in the New Year at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Dec. 31, 2015.

The show will mark Buffett’s first New Year’s Eve show in New York City. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale in September. During the Brooklyn show, the world-renowned Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC will broadcast a special Jimmy Buffett performance live from Barclays Center.

In case any out of towners are thinking of going to this because they want to see the ball drop in Times Square on New Year's Eve, the Barclay's Center is the basketball arena where the Nets play in Brooklyn. It's nowhere near Times Square.

Billy Joel did the same thing a couple years back. They blended everything together pretty good on TV if anyone remembers. Never thought I'd see Jimmy in Brooklyn though...

Will be in NYC for New Years. Trying to decide whether to go to JB or Times Square. Any locals know where to view the festivities at Time Sq.from an inside venue that is not too expensive. -maybe equivalent to the cheap seats at the JB concert-$100 pp??
Thanks

If you want to see it from indoors, wouldn't it be cheaper to stay home and watch it on TV? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, I just don't see the point of being there but not actually being there, if that makes any sense.

Hola Parrotheads,

I just scored a 5th row seat in F3 for $256 + fees for the NYE show! I only made it to two shows this year so I need to squeeze this 3rd on it or I will go crazy!

Nice work. I got a pair of fifth row, F5 for $190/ticket. I've been watching Stubhub for a while and pounced on that pair last week.
