Don't get me wrong, I like Bruce but got sick of Glory Days.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Not a bad show. And from my seat in the first row off the floor, just before the show started I saw him walk by ...
Image,
so I reached over the railing, said "Hi" and shook his hand.

Then Suzan Waldman ,,,
Image
the Yankees radio announcer walked by but since I'm a Mets fan I ignored her.

Then Tom Wolfe, the writer, walked by ...
Image
and he was dressed all in white - white suit, white shirt, white tie and 2 tone black & white shoes. He's an odd looking guy.

And the shell girls in my sig line made the big screen.

So, was last nights show a little flat?

I thought the sound at the Garden was crappy from where I was sitting (300 section, stage right, just short of halfway back) and that, while Jimmy was having fun, that he messed up a couple of times.

Granted, the "Fins" fake start to the show was probably on purpose, but I think he mixed his signals talking about International Talk Like a Pirate Day and then going into "Come Monday".

I thought the setlist also needed a little help. "Everybody's on the Phone" as an encore? Decent song, but having that and "Elvis Presley Blues" in the same set is stretching it for me.

Don't get me wrong, any Jimmy show is a good show, and getting "Boat Drinks" and "It's My Job" were great for me to hear, I'm just hoping there are about 6 different songs for Thursday's show.

Not bitchin', just sayin' . . . .

They've been doing that at just about every show since he started opening with On The Road Again.

I have seen people p*** off that he does the fake Fins intro because they wanted to do the "Fins".

I don't know if RM cut away as soon as the band left the stage but as the crowd was filing out of the Garden they played a video on the big screen. It was James Brown doing a duet of his song It's A Man's World with (are you ready?) ... Luciano Pavarotti.

I know at one of the Foxboro shows, I think A song sung by Pavarotti was played before the concert started.

He did that last night as well. It sounded pretty good.
