Sorry about your PCP abusing friend. I will say that for me I do. I do not do it every week. I will go MONTHS and not smoke. I like it occasionally and have since I was 13 and am 40 now. It never gave me the desire to try different. I think that if you have a weak or addictive personality it can lead to other things.

BUT do you know why it is illegal ?

It was made illegal because of the BIG money that cotton growers had. Hemp at one time was a rival to cotton. When the cotton growers started saying people were using it as a drug they were able to lobby and get it made illegal thereby putting the hemp growers out of business.

That is all.
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

this is a great parody song by David Allen Coe

I've smoked the best with the most of them, but like Jimmy, those days are gone.
However, I have nothing against anyone still partying with the stuff

Remember the words of Jimmy:
Women and water are in short supply
There's not enough dope for us all to get high...

Smoke one for me y'all

Liked your song, Eric. Hey, Anonymous, you really need to chill out. Why do you get to judge everyone? (Betcha JB still smokes!)

Ooh, ooh, ooh! Can I stir up the pot a little bit??

Let me start by saying that:
1) I love to sing karaoke
2) I love to sing Jimmy Buffett karaoke songs (I do a killer version of "Volcano")
3) I love to sing parodies (Weird Al, Homer & Jethro, Pinkard & Bowden, any of 'em)

I first heard this parody a little more than a year ago (November 2007) while singing karaoke in a bar in Merrill, WI. It was the end of the night and the karaoke jock (who also did DJ) asked if I'd heard this -- and then played "Marijuanaville". I LOVED IT!!! Got back home and went online to find the lyrics, and it has been in my karaoke rotation ever since and for the most part, audiences love it.

One warning, though -- you *do* need to assess the audience sometimes. I don't think I'd sing this at a DARE alumni picnic, for example. But all in all, it's still just for fun. And if you can't have fun, then why play??

I agree with anonymous. U don't need to get smoked up to enjoy jb. I'm not going to say to stop or anything cuz i really don't care just that u don'y have to. If u do though then thats ok to. Oh by the way JB doesn't still smoke.
Look, I don't know why you guys fight over this but the fact remains the group of over 800 I hang with at JB doesn't blaze up an neither do I and everyone has a good freakin' time. [smilie=nolikey.gif]

if they can't take a joke at a picnic, it probably means they are running the three-legged race using the stick up their..... for the third.
