Who got it?

Post by Bob Roberts »

I got to Walmart at 11:55 and waited in front of the new release rack. The lady brought a cargo buggy of boxes at 12:11 and I helped her open the boxes. As soon as I saw Jimmy's picture in the box, I grabbed as quick as I could. The other people waiting kind of chuckled to theirselves. I cranked LTC, HGL, Scarlet Begonias, and Simply Complicated on the way home with the windows rolled down. I'm so excited! I know a few cheated and picked some up this weekend, but did anybody else make a midnight run?...............signs of a dedicated PH!

Just got back from Walmart myself, the lady behind the counter said they probably wouldn't have it, because she didn't know who he was. So we finally got the manager and pulled in 2 copies of the cd at exactly 12, the walmart is about half hour or so away, and we needed to pick up other stuff, but we cranked on the way home, i really dig coast of carolina, fell in love with it at the lauderdale show, but i like the country flavor to the cd, brings me back to my roots. The poster on the inside is a nice little added bonus, but now i want to buy another one since it's double sided. Glad to see atleast one other person made the late night walmart run besides us younger fellas (20, 21) time to fall asleep to LTC since i now need to be up for work in like 4 and a half hours... enjoy ya'll! BTW we payed like 10.44 at walmart, dunno if it was a glitch, but thats a great price, the copy i ordered for my dad on the internet cost closer to 15. the cd was listed at 13.88 or something, and without tax came to 9.88. Great bargain if it wasn't the managers special....

Well, I'm 23 here, so I'll join the club. However, I lucked out. I usually have to get up at 5:30 every morning to go into work, but today I'm off. I did have to get up at 7:00 to go fill out paperwork for my new job, but an extra 1 1/2 hours of sleep just made the midnight run easier!

Just now got to make my Wal-Mart run this morning - but they still hadn't pulled them out - so I waited patiently while the lady searched through some boxes and bought the first copy sold in the 2nd largest grossing Wal-Mart in the nation.

$10.53 with tax - what a deal for me. :pirate:

Bought it at 7:15 A.M. I have become friends with the Wal-Mart CD lady over the years. She always holds me a copy. I had nothing to worry about though, they received 150 copies.

I called Wal-Mart last night and they said, "We put out the DVDs at Midnight, but the CDs don't come out until later in the day." So, I'm on my way now.

Just got mine this morning ($9.88 - YAY WAL-MART!!!). Didn't even have a chance to listen to it yet. I was disappointed with the cardboard case and lack of printed lyrics though. Oh well, I only read them once anyway

Coast of Carolina !!

COAST OF CAROLINA !!

What a great Mac/JB track!!!

If JB plays his cards right, he can get a Top 40 country, or even a cross-over hit with this one.

Reminds me a little of Come Monday, but seen from the other end of life. Very mature...extremely infectous!

I can't wait to see Mac at the Talkhouse here on Long Island the night before the Jones Beach show!

Between Mac's new album, and now Jimmy's, this is turning out be one helluva Parrothead summer!

WalMart's a little out of my way so I got mine at Target - I paid $11.88 if that's any consolation. I also received confirmation that my Amazon copy was mailed yesterday. I didn't put a rush on it but it should be here by the end of the week.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening

Well, LIPH, I think I just made plans for that Friday night!!

I thought about going at midnight, but I can't listen to music here at work, and i would be too tired to stay up and listen, so I'm heading outta here for it at 5:30.
