Just did a wally world run at lunch. So far, so good. You gotta love Piece of Work as a great honky tonk anthem. (sounded pretty good at Alpine too!)

Co-worker said 'He doesn't look THAT old' followed by "I didn't know he did country" followed by 'can I borrow it?'

ahhh another convert.

Just got 3. One for me, one for my wife (who leaves her cd's in her car, which drives me nuts beacause of the heat), and one for mom.

The Mrs. can play hers, but is not allowed to touch mine. I will download the songs into my iPod, and put the cd on my Buffett cd shelf with all the others.

Got mine for $9.99 at Circuit City.

A cool worker there gave me one of the cardboard two-sided posters they had there adverstising the cd.

On one side of the poster is the cd cover with "16 songs" in the bottom left corner.

On the back, it has Jimmy on the left side with "Featuring Hey Good Lookin'" under him and "With guest appearances by: blah, blah, blah" on the right side.

I got my copy from Amazon today too. Didn't expect it, especially since I chose free shipping.

Had to leave the room as my wife was watching TV. Couldn't listen to it on my laptop. Oh well.

Planned on getting up early and going to Walmart on my way into work but I overslept :x  :x  Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper rushing around this morning trying to get to work on time.. Long story short day was pretty sh!tty until lunch time came and I ran to best buy... wonderful how a Buffett cd can change my mood :D :D :D Anyway I have to agree this cd will be in my player for awhile.. plan on making a copy for work and my car too!! :D :D

I got the last one at the KMart in North Canton at half past noon. The girl at the counter said they had people waiting outside before the store opened! I really like it! I especially like "Coast of Carolina" because I used to live on the beach in Emerald Isle, North Carolina! Is it just me, or does "Simply Complicated" sound a lot like "Math Suks"? LOL!

I went to the Wal Mart super store in Coralville Tuesday morning about 7:30 AM. The new C.D.s weren't on the rack yet, so I asked the young sales girl working in that area. She said they had it, but had to go to the stock room to get it. She returned in about five minutes with the C.D. with a $13.45 price tag, however, at the register it rang up $9.31. :D

I found my copy at Circuit Shitty where they were running the two-fer deal for License To Chill/Songs You Know By Heart for $18. I passed on that since I already have all of the songs from that album. I was disappointed not to find the new Todd Snider album though.

Edited to add: Todd's album isn't due for release until July 20th. For some reason I was thinking it came out the same day as License To Chill. Thanks to the kind person here at BN for reminding me of the release date.

I spent the last several months worrying and hoping that LTC wouldn’t disappoint. I mean, after all, it is definitely time to build on the Five O’clock Somewhere phenon. If this new cd ended up sounding lame or inferior, an incredible opportunity would have been squandered. I must admit that seeing all the people who had decided they weren’t going to like it (although they hadn’t even heard it yet) had me concerned. Now I must say to myself, “Oh ye of little faith!”
This cd is EXCELLENT. Simply Complicated and Scarlet Begonias, will have to grow on me a little, but even that’s starting to take root. If they don’t follow up Hey Good Looking with either Coast of Carolina or Boats to build...or LTC....or...Heck there’s too many great cuts...I can’t even make up my mind! I got my copy yesterday, and I will already be performing BTB and LTC in my live show tonight. Way to go Jimmy!
...Keepin' it Jimmy!!!

I picked up mine at best Buy yesterday(tuesday)for $11.99. There was a whole stack of display of them out with all of the other new releases and popular CD's. It was nice to find them out in the open instead of shoved into a bin with "songs you know by heart".
Pretty good CD, but I dont see it making it in my normal rotation once the newness rubs off.
Each day is better than the next.
