Got to hear the song with better sound quality before voicing any opinion on it.

I'm gonna reserve judgement. The sound quality tonight was terrible... It was hard to make out any of it, really.

I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.

I really liked it too. But then there isn't much I don't like by Jimmy. I have a feeling it will grow (and grow) on me too. Wonder what the rest of the album will be like :o

Yeah, does anyone have a copy of the song to share? Lyrics even?
While the embers from the logfire
They flicker, fly and twirl
Then drift off towards the cosmos
From the Far Side Of The World

I liked the song better in last night's show then I did the one in Pheonix. Not much difference really...maybe it's just hearing the song again and being slightly more familiar with it.

A few more shows and I will like it I think!! LOL!
Well I’m a tidal pool explorer
From the days of my misspent youth
I believe that down on the beach
Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chinese buried the truth...

ETP started the lyrics during the setlist thread on Thursday and I worked on them, but I know I have lots of the lyrics wrong.

(Was I dreaming or did he refer to Okies?)

I've decided I can't hear at all!!
Encore Encore!

(The complete lyrics are posted below by Jones Beach. Great job.)

I think that's

I've spoken with the YOGIs

instead of Oakies. But I could be wrong.

I hope the *real* lyrics are posted somewhere soon. This is driving me nuts! :D

Come in Paris.
Come in London.
Come in Cucamanga.
Come in Catalina.
Come in San Romey/ Tropei ????

The good news is there’s a party.
The bad news is the world is ending so you’d better get here quick.
All right, here we go.

When you feel like a written off actor on Deadwood
___________________________________________________pigs.

When that preacher’s bustin’ hell
Toutin’ just cowbells
Stop his trails in front of your digs.

There’s this place you can go called Tierra Del Feugo
Down in the Southern Hemisphere
It’s kinda joy without hell and
Past the Straits of Magellan
Things are always looking up down there.

And there’s a party at the end of the world.
<End of the world.>
Where the locals do the tango twirl.

Forget the temples and the golf pants.
Over there in Montreal?
There’s a party at the end of the world.

Let’s go.

It seems like I’ve run out of reasons to be here.
So I’m just going to steal from myself.
If your attitude has fallen
There’s a latitude that’s calling
Take yourself past the continental shelf

Now the band that we hired
Is playing so inspired
Eskimos and eunuchs from Bangkok
Have this location so nice.
We won’t run out of ice
‘Cause Antarctica is just around the block.

And there’s a party at the end of the world.
Where the locals do the tango twirl.
So, don’t make that big mistaka
And wind up with Miss Jamaica
At the party at the end of world.

Flying machines. Yellow submarines
Fresh girls in cowboy décor.
RSVP isn’t needed, you see
And the crowd they’re just yelling for more.
<Peter’s solo here>

Now in case you hadn’t heard.
Things are getting quite absurd.
No one really shocks us, that’s for sure.
Roadside bombers and Tsunamis
Oh, god! How I miss those Commies.
No one really plays fair anymore.

But I’ve spoken to the yogis
Had a conversation with my roadies
Who assure me that our arrangements are complete.

There’s a party at the end of the world.
Where the locals do the tango twirl.
