I moved this out of "Jimmy Buffett Discussion" since it doesn't involve Jimmy... unless you know something I don't know! :D

Farm Aid is always worth the money. At the end you get Willie and Family--which is everyone who performed that day if they are still around. You get 12 hours of music, and most of it is great, except for the Dave Matthews stuff. Why he has joined them I do not, and will never know.

I'm pretty sure that's been the lineup for the last several years now.

In regards to Dave Matthews, I'm not a huge fan of his music but like the other particpants he's concerned about the plight of the American farmer and is extremely active in those causes. That's enough to warrant his inclusion right there. To me, it's more about bringing attention to the situation than the actual performers themselves whether I'm a fan of theirs or not.

are you serious????!! lawn seats are $100???

that's crazy. I went to Farm Aid in 2003 and they were only $40 or $50. GEEZ. I know it's for a good cause and it is worth the money, but the price has skyrocketed! YIKES.

It was a fantastic time in Columbus though!

Considering the amount of artists you'll see for $100, it's a bargain. If you buy tix for the ACL Fest when they first go on sale they're around $35. I'd much rather pay that than $146 to see one artist.

First time I saw Farm Aid back in was it 85 maybe -- Think it was in like Southern Illinois too... I think we paid like 20 or 25 for tickets. Back in 97 I think I paid 50 dollars for a 3rd row seat.
