Actually I it was in January that the "Coming Soon" popped up on the MP3 page. Not quite a year, so on schedule for them.

While I would have been happier to see something very uniqie to kick off the download series, I'll be ordering this on CD because:
A) I'm a completist
and
B) I was there and will take any souvenir of that show
Next I'd like to see them offer something rare like any pre1991 concert or a special show like the Fillmore.

I dunno. I the difference between The Rolling Stones' Four Flicks and Live Licks is astounding - the DVD songs that made the live album are the complete performance, screwups and all, whereas on the live record they've been edited (Brown Sugar and Street Fighting Man), downright hacked (Rocks Off) and in some instances even overdubbed (Neighbours).
The Stones have always messed with their live recordings. Buffett's done very little editing and from what I can tell only 2 overdubs ever on a live recording (YHTBT's Come Monday is a studio vocal overdub and Grapefruit's acoustic direct track, although it also sounds like he went direct and was miced, it's hard to tell).
That's the beauty of the Tiki Time albums - audio verite.

Here's a shocker from the Mailboat website:
"We are sorry to announce that due to technical issues, the audio download for "Live At Wrigley Field" has been put on hold. You will still be able to order the CD beginning November 27th, which will be available only through mailboatrecords.com."
Glad I was planning on the CDs anyways.

I'll be ordering the CD too, for the same reasons as you.nvrmnd17 wrote:While I would have been happier to see something very unique to kick off the download series, I'll be ordering this on CD because:

Yes, something more unique would be nice. Like the Fillmore, or the Austin show this year. Hopefully Mailboat will get their act together "soon".

The Live At Wrigley CD is available for order, but the MP3 section that has said coming soon for 11 months is gone.
Really thought Jimmy would be able to release concerts for download like so many other bands do including his friends at Little Feat.

Agreed on the Fillmore and Austin shows since I was at both of them. I'd like to see the Texas Stadium show from 2 years ago too.gingerbreadman wrote:I'll be ordering the CD too, for the same reasons as you.nvrmnd17 wrote:While I would have been happier to see something very unique to kick off the download series, I'll be ordering this on CD because:

But that's just a little disappointing. It's only the main movie audio, and the price is raised to $18.98. No bonus tracks. Oh well.

If you have total recorder, a DVD player and a CD burner on your computer, you can make your own .wav files of the songs on the DVD and make your own disk. Make sure you use the regular stereo option and not the 5.1 option (unless of course you have 5.1 surround sound in your car!).
I did it just for Bananna Republics and City of New Orleans.

Got my copy of this the other day. I was pleasantly surprised to see Star Spangled Banner, Glory Days, and City Of New Orleans on the CD even though they weren't listed on the website.
Then today when I was importing a copy for my iPod I noticed another little surprise: they threw Ragtop Day from the 1st show onto Disc 1.

nvrmnd17, please tell us about the CD packaging? was it in a stardard jewel case with artwork? or was it like a bootleg, just in a piece of folded paper with hand written track info?
