This was the toughest one yet, for me.

I don't think Piece of Work comes off that well in concert, so went with 5:00.

5:00 Somewhere just has such huge appeal and gets my vote, but this was a tough one because I like Will K so much and this song rocks at the shows. And it's rockin right now on RM. I really like MAC's vocals on it too and the girls'

Are we going for the Jackson/Buffett version or the Mac/Buffett version?

If the Jackson/Buffett version is what we are voting on there is not much

Jimmy there to really be part of this because it really becomes a AJ song

instead of a JB song.

Refs we need a consultation on this one.

Well since the vast majority of the 115 performances are Jimmy/Mac versions and live Jimmy/Alan versions are rare, I'd say that most of your decision should come from the Jimmy/Mac versions. BTW IMHO, I like the Mac/Jimmy version soooo much better than the Alan/Jimmy version.

I voted for It's Five O'Clock. It's not that I don't like POW, because I do like the song. I just think Jimmy played it to death two years ago as an opener. It is a good opener in my opinion, it just shouldn't be used for every show.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

This is the first one I've had a problem with. I see 5 o'clock as an Alan Jackson song since it appeared on one of his albums (CD's), and I think I remember Jimmy saying in an interview that he sings for like 20 seconds during the song. I like the song and how Jimmy and Mac do it in concert but I have to go with POW on this one.

I was having a hard time until I remembered that I like Alan Jackson more than I like Toby Keith 8) 8)

This is a real tough choice for me. I really like Piece of Work, but 5 O'Clock Somewhere typifies the Buffett mythology.

Based on that, I have to 5 O'Clock somewhere. Plus, I can't help but scream along with:

Pooouuuuur me something tall and strong
Make it a hurricane before I go insane
It's only half past 12, but I don't care
It's 5 O'Clock somewhere

Great workday anthem.

This may be a new "classic" if a SYKbH II was ever to be released.

Both outstanding songs, but Somewhere is so much better.
And I must confess, I could use some rest.. I can't run at this pace very long
