All is not lost. Some ideas for you:

1. Hit Radio Shack or Target and pick up the cheapest Virgin Mobile pay-as-you go phone, throw $20 on it for the weekend, and you're set. I used to use one of those, before I switched to AT&T/Cingular. This phone appears to be available in at least 4 different Pittsburgh-area Target stores, according to the website, and for only $18. They only take a few minutes to activate, and can even be done online or from someone else's phone.

2. In fact, if you're going to be at Friday night's PH Club party at the Airport Holiday Inn, find me and I'll loan you my old Virgin Mobile phone for the weekend (or maybe even sell it to you if you want it). It's a nice one; it takes pics and everything. Feel free to PM me if you want to explore this option.

3. Hit Staples or someplace similar and get a Trac-Fone. Never had one of those, but they're cheap and should be enough to at least get you thru the weekend.
I'm not even going to bother with spending more funds on a phone. Probably won't have time to go get one anyway as I expect a full work day today and have to work 6 hours tomorrow before I can go out to Star Lake. Getting one of those BN ID badges from Chippewa, and will be roaming the parking lots. FedEx will be tracing today, driver will have to retrace his steps to make sure he delivered to the right place. If he did deliver here and it was stolen A T & T will replace at no cost to me. I'm sure I'll find a number of people just by wandering around the parking lot.

He's loud, so he's easy to find, LOL!

And if we do manage to do the nametag thing, look for the guy whose tag reads "Hoppy". There can't be too many of those around, and that's the FH. Find him, and I should be nearby.

Does either route have more side of the road stuff? At 11:00 pm taking the scenic route is kind of pointless.

If you are coming that late, just take 70.

I like my job but sometimes they really make me

2 hours into my day I go and look at the schedule, and they changed it again. Now I have tomorrow off and will work the next 6 days after that. So I'll be heading to Star Lake around 2PM, should have a beer in my hand shortly after 3 whether the lots are open or not

Well, I-70 it is then. I'm hoping to make it in time to hit the Holiday Inn party tonight, but it's not looking like that'll happen. There'll be plenty of time to party tomorrow.

So I heard ONCE AGAIN that Star Lake ISN'T FOOLING AROUND THIS TIME

and the lots will STRICTLY OPEN at 4:00 PM
and the police are setting up road blocks

to prevent us parrotheads from parking and waiting along route 18 till the gates actually do open

You know... I have had hell of a year, last two work weeks and no where NEAR finishing projects....

I look forward to this EVERY YEAR... My friends announced that none of them can leave until 2:30 to go....

TICKS me off to no end! not that I want the lots to open at 4 - cause traffic will be hell!

Pholks as Daffy Duck once said "Consequences, smonsequences" like they are going to stop us from going earlier than 4. It will be a complete nightmare if they choose to do that. I have been to 22 of the 23 shows Jimmy has performed there and not once have any of these so called rules been enforced. So everyone relax like I am and sit back on your deck or wherever and enjoy your Margarita or other beverage and think how fun of a day we are going to have tomorrow. In fact at this time tomorrow we will be in the show.
