That makes sense, that was when I saw him at BB King's. There were 2 drunken frat boy types next to me at the bar. When Jake finished his set one of them turned to me and said "this motherf**ker is bad." I think that meant he liked him.

Yep - but it's an ukulele actually!

No, it was BB King's. Jake was the opening act for something called Karl Denson's Tiny Universe. Mac McAnally's show last September was the only time I've ever been to Joe's Pub.

Jake was great last night!

Too bad I missed Bill Hader before him. I like his Pacino.

Thanks so much for posting the link!!!! :D

We actually got to see Jake in DC on Sunday -- he played with the Air Force Band -- awesome as usual! Sorry I didn't think to relay the set list. Several of the same songs from NYC.

I usually prefer it when he plays solo, even on his CD's, but playing with the AF band sounded pretty cool! And he was totally humbled by it as only Jake could be!! The conductor was floored by him as was the audience (many of whom, I'm sure, had never heard of him!) Standing ovations and encore -- pretty neat!!

Thanks again for the link!!

I am really glad that people are starting to notice his music. Like someone said he is always so humble and he seems to really enjoy it. I know I loved every minute of his concert in Vegas last year!!!

THANKS! :D
When I read about him being on Conan Tuesday/Wednesday I fully intended to set my VCR to record it (knowing full well I'd never be able to stay awake to watch live  ) and then promptly headed out the door for work and forgot all about it!
Thanks goodness for YouTube and tech-saavy parrotheads!
