1) He hasn't done two shows at Nissan in years
2) If it is announced Monday thats only 5 days before a ticket sale.

I'd love to eat crow on this one and I will if you are right but I'm not buying it. Is it a coincedence that all the Nissan rumors are coming from buffettnews newbies?
Maybe they are people in the know who want to share their information. Don't be so doubtful of their info just because they are new...

Plus also the delay could have to do with the onsale date of Philly tickets. Waiting for that to sell out until announcing the date. Or even the Carolina shows for that matter.

We try our best. :D

And I've heard from a couple of people in different PH clubs that these dates are correct.

But I would like to see them confirmed.

Amen on that! The most fun I've had at a tailgate were at Merriweather! I think the odds of that are really very slim, if none at all, however :(.
Let's not get greedy, we don't even have one date in the area yet!
absolutely! let's just a get a concert somewhere in VA and that's all we need!

did anyone ever see him play at Kings Dominion or in Va Beach? There was a show at JMU a LONG time ago when he played with Kenny Loggins. Did anyone see him there or some place else?

Saw him at King's Dominion a long time ago (festival seating -- what a rush), and a William & Mary (Little Feat opened). Never been to a show in Va Beach, but I have seen him at Nissan many times. The weather and traffic invariably s***, but I won't complain too much... at least he visits regularly.

I have lurked on this site for years and never posted, and now I know why.
No, No, inside information is GOOD and we need it. You know how it is now a days, everyone wants More, More, More!

On another note, when did Buffett play at JMU? I don't ever remember that.
I recall a winter-time date at the Patriot center in the 80s

It has to be announced today or tomorrow. The 8/30 and 9/1 dates are definite and now I am also hearing the rumors that tickets go on sale Friday. I can't wait for the official announcements and we can move on.

Now the problem is trying to get tickets to both shows! :wench:

I believe it's time for a sick day!
