We are staying at the Holiday Inn in Taunton. Have any of you stayed there before and is it a pain in the butt to get to from GW. Tried several closer hotels but they are all book! Imagine that!! :D

Thanks!

That Holiday Inn isn't bad. Just a bit of a drive to get to Great Woods, not a long one but just a bit of a drive.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Well I guess I will just have to hope for the best. If anyone has sat in this section, let me know how bad/good it is. Again, I am not complaining - just curious. :) Also, do you get the preferred parking and if so, is it a specific lot?

Thanks![/quote]
Preferred Parking is in front of GW as you come in, to the right of the center asile the benifit, you are let right out after the show the rv's busses are a short walk

Well - not sure if that was worth $40 does it also mean that we are guaranteed parking? We will be coming from NJ that morning. Do they really only open the parking lot 3 hours before show or is that for every show BUT Buffett? Only been to GW once and we were on a party bus and arrived only 2 hours before show but this time we are on our own and hoping to get there quite a bit earlier to have the full tailgate experience and to meet some BNers!

Thanks!!

Not sure because when I had it for the Philly show back in 2005, I wasn't allowed into the preferred parking lot because I got there too late.

I had a pass for that lot a couple years back. A lot
of the police officers/security park there. As I remember,
the advantage of that lot is that they let you out
earlier than the rest. There isn't much of a party
going on in that lot so you'll have to get mobile.

Who wants to get out early? We bring a small RV & they park us way in the back. There are plenty of people hanging out for a while after the show. We don't have tix yet :( but we'll be there. :D

For those who are coming up to Great Woods and haven't booked your hotel yet, please do so soon. If you need ideas, PM me since I used to live in the area, I could tell you which hotels to stay in.

Unless they changed it this year, which I doubt --- this is the layout of the Great Woods parking lot!

Wow! :o :o Those new seats really cut the lawn down to size.

Thanks for the invite! :D I like that it is right next to the RV section as that is where the fun is!
