WOO HOO!!

I believe in Phin Power to the extreme! Thanks everybody!

Mom is home. Basically, it was a seizure due to a plaque buildup in the small blood vessels of the brain's white matter.

This has been there for some time and is obviously getting worse.

It will be controlled by medicine AND she will have to quit smoking. I made a deal with her that I would quit as well so she will try and be around for a while.

Excellent news! And it will be easier for you both to quit working together.
My mom was 78 when she quit cold turkey so I KNOW you can do it too!

Thanks everybody!!

We are all relieved and exhausted; poor dad found her head down on the breakfast table . . . he was reading the newspaper, looked up and there she was not moving.

They were so cute at the hospital and at home . . . just couldn't imagine being apart :D

Yay!!! I am so happy for you and your family.

As far as quitting smoking, my husband was a major smoker.... he did quit and has stuck with it for years. He quit cold turkey, and said that was the best way (for him anyhow...) He says that if you can make it past 5 days then the hard part is all done!!

(however comforting that may or may not sound.... :wink: )
