Cheeseburger in Paradise Teams Up With VH1 Save The Music

Post by phjim »

Cheeseburger in Paradise, well-known for its long-standing musical heritage, is calling all music lovers to help the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to fund instrumental music programs in public schools. By supporting the cause, music fans will be automatically entered to win a Jimmy Buffett autographed guitar.

Specially designed Cheeseburger in Paradise VH1 Save The Music t-shirts are available for purchase from October 15 through November 15 at all 38 Cheeseburger in Paradise locations throughout the country. All profits from t-shirt sales will help fund a teacher's salary and musical instruments. Children's shirts cost $10; adult sizes are available for $12 each.

Music lovers can also enter online at CheeseburgerinParadise.com to win the acoustic guitar with a personalized signature from Jimmy Buffett. The winner will be announced in late November.

What is well known for its long standing musical heritage? The food chain? Is that a joke?

Well obviously you have nothing to contribute. You would quote something your mother said instead of answering the question.

Let's just say the irony is pretty hysterical.

I had dinner at CIP tonight and the staff had the shirts on. Not bad looking. I didn't buy one of course. But, not bad looking.

Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.

What irony? That CIP hasn't been around long enough to have any musical "heritage" since it's named after a song yet they have t-shirts for VH1?

For some reason it's things like this that make people come off here as uppity. Just answer the damn question.

No, It's not a Joke.
The statement's accuracy may be in question, but it was obviously not a joke.

It is, however, a very good cause.
Schools are being forced to cut these programs, due to lack of funding.
I commend CIP for trying to make a difference.

The chain does not support music, which is the irony. Because some folks see the irony does not detract from their attempt to do some good, which is of course laudable.

OK. Thank you. I've never been to a CIP and the idea, that musical heritage thing, just seems...beyond stupid. And what it's for, the cause or whatever, I have no idea about. So it all seemed very bizarre.
