Re: BBQ Pulled Pork
dear lord, penny. that's way too complicated for pulled pork.
here's my recipe
INGREDIENTS
boneless pork roast thingie from the grocery store
salt and pepper
two cans-ish of beef broth or whatever broth you have around the house. use beer or water if you have no broth handy.
half cup of coffee
one tablespoon of liquid smoke
your favorite bbq sauce
DIRECTIONS
rub salt and pepper all over the pork roast. place in slow cooker/crock pot. dump in the rest of the ingredients. cover and turn on heat to low. go to work or whatever it is you do all day. come home and carefully pull the roast out of the slow cooker on to a cutting board. use two forks to pull apart the pork. cover with bbq sauce to your tastes.
you gluten-eating people probably put it on a bun or something, but it tastes great on it's own or in a salad. we usually serve it with sticky rice and a green vegetable of some sort.

Re: BBQ Pulled Pork
I'll do that with sammich type wraps. Have to get just the right kind of lettuce or the insides end up all over you. I have some good lettuce left over from camping last weekend. Maybe I'll give that a try this week, cause that would really work with the pulled pork.pair8head wrote:You guys ever try wrapping it in lettuce?buffettbride wrote: you gluten-eating people probably put it on a bun or something, but it tastes great on it's own or in a salad. we usually serve it with sticky rice and a green vegetable of some sort.

'Ropa Vieja' Of Duck confit of duck legs, calabaza, cucumbers and hoisin port sauce, nappa cabbage cups
Similar to what you're mentioning and very good. I'll have to try the pulled pork that way.
