He is. I had no idea. The only legacy I knew was that the Sugar Hill Gang recorded Rappers Delight around here.
What I meant was the "character" was supposed to be from Harrisburg. The college
was supposed to be in PA. But there have been a few movies shot around here.
My brother played a bit part in "Girl Interrupted" which was shot in Harrisburg and
Mechanicsburg. (Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread)

I thought the movie was based on the Dartmouth Greek Society???

Well yes the script was based on two of the three authors' experiences at fraternities
at Dartmouth and Washington at St Louis. But the story is set at fictitious Faber
College in PA although it was filmed in Oregon. The actual "house" was in Eugene.

In watching a Animal House documentary, the writers said they wanted a campus that had a sort of Ivy League/Northeastern type of feel to it, hence the Dartmouth thing. When they shopped the script at colleges in the Northeast, the presidents read the script and, not suprisingly, said no way. So, they ended up in Oregon.
One of the writers was a ZBT brother and at the end of the movie, one of the floats is from the fictional ZTB fraternity; it's the one with the two giant hands that scoops Marmalard away. (Who was killed by his own troops in Vietnam).
BN Critters - a *lazy way* to write a daily comic strip .....
1. Easy step. Ripping off. er, *borrowing from* Animal House (let's call it a homage/parody shall we?).
2. Tougher step. *Adapting* so it is somewhat Buffetty and/or Crittery and/or BuffettNewsy**.
3. Toughest step. Putting my pathetically weak drawing skills to the test to squeeze this into a teeny tiny comic strip format.
4. Impossible step. Making it a cohesive storyline. Not gonna even try.
** There's a great opportunity here for me to include a lot of BNers as strippers, both old and new *strippers*.
Now you can leave it entirely up to me (I have ideas) .... or ..... you guys can toss around suggestions,
e.g.
I hear ya ... replace "Toga, Toga!" with "Tailgate"; Bicycle Bill's lobbying for a D-Day role; etc.
I've already included John Flokarsky as *Floko* .... what else we got?

The guy on the far right (both real and screen name escape me) holds his beer mug in a rather familiar way don't you think?

He is Robert Hoover, the President of Delta House. Or, James Widdoes in real life.

Some parts of the movie were based stories from one of the writers who went to Dartmouth.
