An unexpected ticket sale
Not a ticket buying, nut a ticket selling story:
As some of you might know, BN member Popcornjack unfortunately couldn't make it to Paris this year.
So he asked me if I coud be the man in the middle for selling his already bought ticket, which of course I did.
Jack handed his ticket, which was sent to him to Key West from Paris, over to me at Great Woods.
I tried to sell it here, I tried to sell it on Facebook, I even tried to convince a friend to come to Paris with me - no luck.
So I took the Travellin' Ticket to Paris with me. I figured I'd go to the Olympia early and try to sell it there.
The Sunday before the show we had our BN meet up at the Kitty O' Shea pub.
This is a small pub in a side road from the Olympia.
BN plus some Ozzie Parrotheads were the only guests in the beginning.
Later on a few locals were sitting outside chatting.
Since it was nice and warm I too went outside and had a chat with one of the Ozzies.
A local guy speaking very good english (or an expat) sitting next to us asked what we'd be here for.
So we told him we'd be in Paris for a concert of an in Europe unknown American musician, of course he wanted to know who exactly.
I said 'Jimmy Buffett?', and expectedly he shook his head, 'never heard of him.'
But to our surprise the young lady sitting with him went 'Oh my God, Jimmy Buffett is in town and I don't know that? Where is he playing, and when?'
'Tomorrow at the Olympia! ? have a spare standing ticket to sell for face value if you'd like to come!'
'For sure! How much was it?' '56€ and it's yours!'
We exchanged cell numbers and met next day in line since she works around the corner from the Olympia!
She texted me the day after that she had a blast of a party!
Thats the story of Popcornjacks Travellin' Ticket and how it got sold not 24 hours before the show!
I really hope that Landshark Girl and Popcornjack can make it to Europe next year!

Thanks for selling Jack's ticket, Mike. Can't wait to see you in a few weeks down here in Key West. You're going to fall in love with the place just like I did. I hope Jack and I can come to Paris one day...and hopefully Jimmy will be there when we go.
