well, it looks like just about everyone missed the Harvard and Dayton picks. the upside, NDSU took out OK. GO BISON!!! as for the Pittsburgh/CU game, that was a bit of a wash.

I actually got Harvard correct! Also, being a Longhorns fan, I'm happy to see Oklahoma lose. Fun first day!

However, OU is going to have to do more before I can talk too much!

Re: NCAA Bracket time again!
There's been a lot of talk all week here in Myrtle Beach about the NCAAs because Coastal Carolina made it in, they're just up the road in Conway, SC. That talk will probably end soon, they're a #16 seed and they play Virginia today. But it would be nice to see the Fightin' Roosters at least make a game of it.
I didn't fill out a bracket here on BN but I did enter Tilted Kilt's contest. They do it differently than any other bracket contest I've seen, you only pick one round at a time. You don't have to pick tomorrow's and Sunday's games until after you know the results of yesterday's and today's games. I like that because if a team you pick to go far gets beaten early, which usually happens to me, it doesn't blow up your whole bracket. The last college basketball game I watched was the championship game last year so I guess I did OK yesterday, I went 11-5. I didn't pick Dayton, but I had Harvard.

I actually picked Harvard in the BN pool. Of course, I did not pick Mercer, which screws things up.

I had Dayton , never would of expected it out of Mercer , I was on the Fence with Harvard , but took Cincy. I have to take the programs that keep players for 4 years more seriously.Hockey Mon wrote:I actually picked Harvard in the BN pool. Of course, I did not pick Mercer, which screws things up.

I'm in 10 pools, including this one. Each one, I fill out my bracket a little differently.TommyBahama wrote:I had Dayton , never would of expected it out of Mercer , I was on the Fence with Harvard , but took Cincy. My best this year, I only got 24 out of 32 right. That's not good.
My worst, I got 18.

There is one perfect bracket left...
Brad Binder of Buffalo Grove, IL. He is on top of the Yahoo leaderboards.
Did not enter it in the other Buffett's Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge.

Our leader so far:
"Left Field" with 37 correct picks, 48 points.
Most possible points, however go to "T.J.'s Terrific Bracket" with 171.
Me, I sucked.

Actually, I lied, I'm doing better than I thought with about 30ish correct guesses. Still not so good though.

While I didn't have the time to enter a bracket, the tournament games as a whole have been outstandingly competitive. Here's hoping my Wolverines can get back to the final four later today!

Not to mention that this way they get you to come back four more times to submit new brackets for the Round of 32, the Sweet Sixteen, the Elite Eight, and the Final Four. And who's going to go into a place like the Tilted Kilt and just drop off a bracket list and leave?LIPH wrote:I didn't fill out a bracket here on BN but I did enter Tilted Kilt's contest. Has that picture been "enhanced"? Because the mushroom cloud definitely looks like a clown's head — big bulb nose, big open mouth, two big eyes, and poofy hair to either side — laughing at me.AdamBomb8 wrote:

Re: NCAA Bracket time again!
The entire contest is conducted online so I never have to go into the restaurant unless I win something. All the prizes are food except one, a Kilt Girl calendar. I won that but I also won one in the college football contest last fall so I don't need another one. Besides, it's almost April. Why would I want a 2014 calendar when we're already 1/4 through the year?Bicycle Bill wrote:Not to mention that this way they get you to come back four more times to submit new brackets for the Round of 32, the Sweet Sixteen, the Elite Eight, and the Final Four.
