Best 'one man band' Buffett songs

Post by capndar »

I modesty put myself in the "related artists' category but need to ask a question..

I play a lot of 'trop rock' standards with my trio, but occasionally still get to do a one guy with a guitar on a stool show....and love to dig "..way back in the old treasure chest" to pull out some Buffett (and other) classics. I have at least one of these coming up for the holiday season.

The question is, in that setting, what songs would you want to hear (clearly not Fins, etc.) from the classic Buffett songbook?

Any opinions welcome.

Thanks

Well that would be great if that was a song, its actually Banana Republics, and is actually a song by Steve Goodman, a friend of Jimmy's from Chicago.

Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

Whatever.

That's fine.

It's still a good song.
