. . the MSC goes back many, many years . . . it's formally the Morning Star Cafe . . kind of a take-off on a quirky coffee shop/hangout where ParrotHead friends just pop in and out all day to chat or just visit . .

. . welcome . . ! ! . . pull up a chair . . ! !

Didn't the inspiration for Morning Star Café originally come from a Peter Mayer song?

Hey everyone! I haven't introduced myself, but I've been lurking for awhile, thought I might as well come out of lurkdom and say hello.

Jimmy didn't call me, either. Couldn't help but hope, even though I know it was a long shot. That little optimistic voice inside of me keeps pointing out that some more tickets may come available today as people who were notified on 3/3 miss the 3 day deadline to respond? Trying not to get my hopes up, but still get a little giddy every time an email comes in.

Oh well, booked for MOTM this year, so one way or another I'll make it back to Key West in 2015. Happy Friday!

Hi BG!! Thanks for the warm welcome!

I haven't been at this Parrothead thing anywhere near as long as some of y'all. I knew that my boyfriend was a Parrothead when he and I started dating, but all I knew of Jimmy was Margaritaville and....honestly.....that's still not one of my favorites. But he kept playing the music and I found myself falling in love, despite myself.

I'm a "jump in with both feet" kinda girl, so I joined the local PHC, made it to the Austin, TX show last year (financially couldn't swing two shows, and I have friends in Austin), and went to MOTM in 2014. I've got tickets for this year's Frisco show, and my airline ticket and room at the Casa are booked for MOTM 2015.

I've got two kids: a five year old daughter and a three year old son. When I'm not chasing them down or at work, I fly fish and I sing with a couple of ensembles.

Yeah, I'm curious how you can fly a fish. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]
Is it a remote control type thing?
Do you actually have to be on the fish to fly it? (if so, I'm gonna need a pretty big fish)
Or maybe they miniaturize you and there's a little tiny cockpit inside the fish.

There's usually a pretty good sized group of people from here at the Frisco show.

If you poke the fish with a sharp stick, won't it crash?

I'm a "bug girl" so I guess it's okay? Kidding, of course. I'm not good enough to be any kind of snob. Check back in a decade or so.
