Who's Going to Atlanta (Duluth) June 2, 2016

Post by spucketts »

Didn't see Atlanta already listed so needed to get it started.

This arena uses Axs as their ticket processor and you have to be patient with it. It puts you in a ticket buying waiting room until its your turn to buy. I got in at 10:01 and it wouldn't pull anything, not even a single, stating that no tickets were available. At 10:08 a single in the cheap seats came up and I let it go. I refreshed and you have to reenter the waiting room and wait for everything to refresh. Then I started pulling other pairs I didn't want. Finally at around a quarter after I got a pair on the floor in 05 Row C. When a section sells out it will go gray on the seating chart.

Looking forward to June 2!!! :pirate:

11:30 and sections 1-4 on the floor are gone. Only singles in the upper deck-cheap seats.

Oh and I'll warn you now, we're in 05 on the floor and we stand-dance throughout the concert. If someone standing in front of you is a problem, please adjust your seats accordingly. :pirate:

I'm going, as far as I know.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Looks like they opened up two more sections in the lower level, stage right and left, low dollar seats. Still tickets available. :pirate:

It's been three (four?) years since the Aaron's show! I can't wait to get back to Atl to see Jimmy and the reefers! Birmingham was a blast last Tuesday! Jimmy is the only show that you'd have to have a "no sand" rule for tailgating!

Atlanta gathering

Post by Piratechill »

Moderator, I apologize in advance if I've placed this in the wrong section. Please forgive and move if needed.

I am looking into a suite for the Atlanta show. Here is the response I got back from coordinator:

I do have a suite package available for Jimmy Buffet along with another concert. Our Sampler Package provides you with 12 suite tickets to 2 concerts of your choice along with 12 suite tickets to a Georgia Swarm lacrosse game or an Atlanta Gladiators hockey game.
Along with Jimmy Buffet we can offer you Cage the Elephant, Cirque du Soliel - Toruk, Twenty One Pilots, Leadercast or Endurocross.
The cost is $5000 which includes the suite rental, 12 suite tickets to each event, 3 parking passes PLUS a $500 food and beverage credit to the 2 concerts. Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to get a contract. Thanks so much!

Ok. We all know the phlock would be doing this just for the Buffett show, so basically it breaks down into around $416 a person.
My question: is there any interest in others doing this package?
Are there better alternatives?
If so, we could use a trusted member on this board that everyone agrees with "since I'm a newbie and no one knows me yet" to escrow the money for purchase.

Compared to other VIP seats and lounges at other venues, the price is fairly comparable.

Would love some feedback.

Anybody know fer shur when the lot opens up? Hotlanta is prepped to live up to its name, prediction of 90 degrees with scattered thunder showers. If the rain comes, I may quit fussing about it not being an outside show. :pirate:

I just went to their web page and find:

3. Tents, tables or other items may not occupy any parking areas.
7. Tailgating is not permitted earlier than two hours before doors open or later than one hour after the event ends.

Since I have never been to this venue, can someone who has verify the above? If so, that kinda sucks.

From the venue website:

Tailgating Policies: Jimmy Buffett

Tailgating will be allowed on Infinite Energy Center’s property from June 2 at 10AM thru June 3 at 1AM in designated areas that are determined by Infinite Energy Center.

NO overnight parking will be allowed from June 1 - June 3.

The parking deck will be off limits to all early parking/ tailgating.

Infinite Energy Center will provide extra trash receptacles and a limited number of Port-A-Potties. No restroom facilities will be accessible inside the venue except during show time for ticketed patrons only.

Tailgaters will be asked to break down any tailgating structures blocking additional parking spaces at 6PM. This includes but is not limited to tents, tables, chairs, grills, etc.

Parking is limited, so we ask you to be respectful of the other concert goers when setting up your tailgating area. Please listen to the directions of our parking and security staff members.

Absolutely no parking is allowed on adjacent roadways or parking lots. Any illegal or unauthorized parking on property that does not belong to Infinite Energy Center will be handled by the owner of the property and is subject to fines and/or towing.

No charcoal grills, however, propane grills are allowed.
No dumping of sand in the parking lots.

Infinite Energy Center will NOT provide utility hook-ups.
No dumping of waste tanks on Infinite Energy Center’s property.

For safety reasons, once a vehicle is parked in a tailgating zone, it cannot leave the area until after 6PM.

There should be an authorized driver present at all times, except during show times.

Much better. Thanks. I missed that, obviously. Boy, there sure isn't the chatter in here like there was a few years ago.

We are going... Got the tickets not long after they went on sale, but unfortunately due to moving and other financial obligations this year we're in the cheaper seats. We plan on tailgating, too. Never actually done that before at the other two shows...but there's a first time for everything! :D Got the little propane camp grill ready to go, cooler, plenty of brews, the EZ-Up tent, chairs, and whatever else we might need! Not sure on what we're going to actually grill yet (probably some luau chicken kebobs and cheeseburgers). Sadly we don't have a lot in the way of decor, but who cares! It's all about fun and gearing-up for what's always a great show! 8)

Hallelujah! At least there will be a few of us there. I used to come on here years ago and it buzzed. Guess Atlanta has cooled on Jimmy. Oh well, a good time will be had. Now, it's time to put the Fin on the truck.
