Re: FL December shows canceled?
I was told from three more very reliable sources that these shows have been pushed back to February.
Please do not shoot the messenger.
Or the sources.
They’re not the ones who decided this.
Not sure why an “official” announcement hasn’t been made, but it was one man’s decision. Nobody else’s.

Re: FL December shows canceled?
Shows are still listed on the website and they're still being promoted on Radio Margaritaville.
I would take reports of cancellation with a big grain of salt (salt... salt... salt...) for now

Re: FL December shows canceled?
The tour dates are no longer listed on Margaritaville.com. It says to check back soon, there are no events at this time. My original source who told me this was going to occur said look at week of February 18 for rescheduled dates.

They need to get them off Live Nation. Feel bad for the people who already booked travel and might be stuck.

I agree. We live in Florida so it’s not bad for us. I keep hoping there is a change of heart or whatever and they decide to keep the ordinal dates. But, this does s***, it’s just over four weeks out.

Re: FL December shows canceled?
Still listed on Pollstar. This is very frustrating if true. Not so much because the shows will be rescheduled, stuff happens sometimes, but the "yes, no, maybe" a month out makes it awfully difficult to make/change plans.
It was too much tequila . . . . or not quite enough.

Re: FL December shows canceled?
My guess is that they are trying to work out the money and other details. Tours are often insured. There are probably certain contract provisions that need to be complied with. For example, if the show is cancelled within a certain number of days but re-scheduled then the payout is "X". Leave it to us lawyers to screw things up for everyone else.
PS - I doubt JB gave much thought to all of this, as I expect all of it is out of his control. Do hope he and everyone else are fine and he (or someone else) just figures they want a little more time off.

I agree. I contacted Ticketmaster/Live Nation this morning and they said they haven't gotten word yet and it is still on for now....
I decided that I am gonna head to Florida that weekend anyway. Too much of a pain to cancel stuff. Ill check out and stay at the Resort and then will stay in downtown Orlando on Saturday at an Air BnB

With every thing that goes on behind the scenes; arranging venues, ticket sales, people planning time off and buying plane tickets and making hotel reservations, etc., etc., etc. I sure hope it's more than someone "just figures they want a little more time off."
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Re: FL December shows canceled?
It is definitely unfortunate for those few people who travel for a show. But my guess is that there are very few people who travel to a Buffett show. Heck, the only people who do it are probably on this web-site. So I hope you don't take is personally.
But something is definitely very off. I just looked at tickets for the December 10 show. There are tickets for over $1,000 and tons of tickets for over $275. I cannot imagine anyone is buying at those prices, so the prices seem incredibly strange to me. I do not know what the prices were weeks ago, but now I wonder if this has something to do with it. Maybe scalpers bought all the tickets and are taking a bath and somehow forced a cancellation.

So odd...
I’m assuming this means the shows are definitely back on

Re: FL December shows canceled?
Due to needed shoulder surgery planned for Jimmy Buffett, with time for recovery and therapy, it is necessary to reschedule the December 7, 2019 concert in Orlando to Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Amway Center.
All tickets purchased for the original show will be honored on the new date. Fans who cannot attend the new date can get refunds at point of purchase. Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band regret the postponement, but look forward to partying in 2020 in Florida!
