Good Morning Bill!

Pulled out our suitcases yesterday to start the Key West packing and somewhere along the line we lost some pieces of our luggage . (Most of our regular weekend travel only requires a duffel-bag type of packing).
Not sure how that happened but it probably went something like this: "next time we need regular luggage we will need a few pieces since this one has a broken wheel, this one has a broken zipper, this one has a tear, etc etc" Apparently, we never followed through with that so I spent a few hours yesterday shopping for luggage. My how things have changed. There aren't many sets out there - all individual pieces and man, are they expensive !!

Good morning BN, cold here too. It was 70 early this morning, 43 now feeling like 36 and getting worse all day. 20's tonight.

Unfortunately we have a Dr appt this afternoon so we have to get out in it.

It's 73 degrees, I think I'll get outside and enjoy the weather before the cold front gets here. Maybe 3 more people will post the same information in the thread about the Florida shows by time I get back.

2 small canvasses
2 metal stars
12 mini canvasses
are started. All beach/seascapes
One star will be the XMAS raffle and the 2 cavasses will be for those who may not want a 20 inch star. The mini canvasses are for parrotfest.
I also finished 2 shirts for phriends North of Disorder.
I'm waiting for paint to dry, then a little more work.

The temperature made it up to 75 this afternoon. Right now it's 40 and the wind chill is 23. I thought I left that s*** behind when I moved south.

Goodness, Bill!! You make me tired!!

So the last several days have had some good moments, and some not so good moments (for various reasons), but nothing life or death. Background: 4 years ago I bought a new car, but just went with the plates that were assigned cause my personalized plates were on another car I owned (2008), and long paid off. I sold that car last year, and kept the plates. My newer car was ready for renewal, so I stopped by the DMV to transfer the personalized plates to my current car. Happy to report, that no one applied for those plates, and SMLCHNG plates are mine again, will now be on my current car!!! When I gave the delightful person the plates at the DMV? She said, "It's Small Change"!!!

Bought groceries and other errands.

It was much colder than I like. Right now it is 33°. Brrrrr
It will be much colder before dawn. And of course I have an eye appointment tomorrow. Would rather stay home where it is warm, but I have to keep the appointment.

Hope the eye appointment goes well tomorrow, Molly. I know you hate the cold. We had about a 1/4" of ice on the cars yesterday, and today was in the 60's. Plenty warm for today.

The ute is unpacked.

The bug out bags are empty.

Most of N.E. New South Wales is still burning, but we dodged it yesterday.

And all our wonderful politicians did was offer "thoughts and prayers", not much help against a firestorm.

Now all they're doing is having a shouting match about how we shouldn't talk about climate change "while the fires are burning". I wanna flog 'em with a buggy whip.
