Giving Tuesday @ the MSC

Giving Tuesday is a day which is observed on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It was created in 2012, to celebrate giving and charitable acts. Using the Internet and social media, this holiday is able to connect many different groups all over the world for the purpose of supporting service and giving back to not only the local community but also the world community as well. It is a holiday that is also known in Twitter parlance as #GivingTuesday and participants use that hashtag to not only bring attention to the cause they support but to also raise awareness about Giving Tuesday itself.

Good morning BN!! I'm off to that work place. Will be stepping out around 9:00 to take my car to be fixed, from the dimwit who hit me in October. Not paying a thing, and get a rental car from Enterprise to get me around, not paying for that either!

Good Morning BN'ers!!!
Beginning in 2012 Michigan did away with a tax credit given for giving to a number of charitable organizations, including one that I've always been a fan of, the local Food Bank.
Last week sent out my annual contribution to that organization. Sadly I know doing away with the tax credit greatly impacted the contribution level of many people.

Now that I'm retired my income is a lot lower so I don't give as much to charity as I used to. I give in other ways though. I donate platelets at the Red Cross every month and I donate whole blood 4 or 5 times a year.

One thing about donating blood is you KNOW that it will not be misappropriated.

It's probably because I live alone, but I don't mind doing laundry. But I wouldn't mind having someone fold all the stuff and put it away after I take it out of the dryer.

I was out and about early this morning running errands and going to a couple of appointments. Got home around 2:00, did laundry, put fresh sheets on the bed, cleaned the kitchen, made a casserole to put in the oven for dinner, washed the dogs dishes and their laundry and now I am sitting down with my feet up. I am contemplating making myself an adult beverage, but I don't want to move just yet.

Hi there! Bern's grown son had left two tackle boxes at his house with new stuff in them. Bern gave them to me and said if I couldn't use them, give them to a kid. They went to a young man whose 5 year old loves to fish.

The Carolina Panthers went to the Super Bowl 4 years ago. They fired their coach today. Three playoff appearances in 9 years will do that.
