Morning all!

It is a sunny and cold Wednesday here in Michigan. Rumor has it there may be a dusting of snow on Friday. Soooooo over it. On the upside, there is paint going onto my home today. Goodbye baby poop gold and hello barn red! Bold move for me and it took me weeks to finally get enough courage to tell the painter to go ahead with the color, but I love the color on the one side they did yesterday.

Hoping this is our last span of cold weather until at least November. I know that is wishful thinking, but I am running with it.

Dreary day here at Ringville. Kevin just left for work even though the county government is still shut down. There are a few things he needs to do since the financial end of his department has things that cannot be done remotely.

I'll soon start my workday at the kitchen bar.

Just learned that our beaches are open full time (has been for limited hours since May 1) beginning today. Beach Bar is also opening with stools being six feet apart.....

Good morning all. The weather channel mentioned Bradford PA getting snowfall today. That's 60 miles away. Anne looks out our bedroom window for frogs in our pond every day. This cold AM she saw one, just eyes and nostrils peaking out of the water.

I received an email from a friend of mine who works for Royal Caribbean. He is in the entertainment business, but was offered a temporary position which allowed him to stay on board. He said that they are currently located off the coast of RC's island destination in the Bahama's. They are able to leave the ship daily in shifts, and go onto the island and use the amenities (jet ski's, bikes, etc.) normally used for the tourists. He said there are a number of RC ships anchored in this area.

Good morning. I had a dentist appointment this morning. Everybody in the office, except the receptionist, looked like hazmat workers. They brought me in a few minutes early because the waiting area was getting too crowded and there wasn't enough room for social distancing. It wouldn't have been so crowded if one patient hadn't brought 2 friends with her. Or if the high school age guy didn't need mommy to sit there with him.

Surprised they had the waiting room open. Here they make you wait in your car and they call your cell when it is your turn.

They're making everyone wear masks. The group of 3 who came in together didn't have masks so they were told to wait outside until one of the employees got masks for them. I had one but I had to take my glasses off, the lenses fogged up every time I exhaled. They were taking everyone's temperature too, mine was 98.8 so I'm almost normal.

Speaking of almost normal, does anyone of a certain age remember the old song "98.6" by Keith? Just another random thought.

The Korean baseball season started the other day with games being played in empty stadiums. ESPN is televising some games but because of the time difference, they're on during the overnight hours here on the east coast. I DVR'd a game, I'm watching the Samsung Lions and NC Dinos. ESPN's announcers are calling the game from their homes here in the US.
