Do we know when and where this started? I was listening to live albums yesterday and started wondering.

I think I read somewhere it was Merriweather in Columbia, MD but idk if that’s true?

I saw this discussed on Facebook and, since then, have done the tiniest bit of research. I went through my bootlegs and can say that, as far as us northern audience are concerned, we were NOT saying it in 1996 but WERE saying it in 1997.

I rest my case.

I also was reading on Facebook that different parts of the country have different variations of it like "where's the GD salt" but I've only heard Salt Salt Salt at all of the shows I've traveled to....
