New TV Wednesday @ The MSC
Good morning. I bought a new TV the other day. The Geek Squad delivered it and set it up this morning and took the old one away so I don't have to go to the recycling center. I'm ready for the hockey season to start.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Afternoon Larry and Ken!
Congrats, Larry!! I feel better now.
We're still without power in our building, tho it's being worked on. We're at a hotel again tonight.
Gotta fly to a meeting.. I'll catch up more of the hell later.

Hey folks. Seems everyone is too busy to stop and grab a cup of coffee or whatever.
What size tv did you get Larry?
We’re just coming back from the beach. It was gorgeous. Figure the next few days may be crappy weather so we’d take advantage of the sun.
Hosting a couple for dinner tonight that went to our church up north. They’re a little older than us but definitely “young at heart”. Mac is a Vietnam vet who has a wonderful sense of humor but still struggles with that time in his life

Good timing on that TV, Larry... so I guess you are all set for hockey to start now!
Penny... bummer on the power issue... What happened to their promise to get a generator if it was not fixed yesterday?
So apparently today is National Cheeseburger Day.... something we were not aware of 47 years ago when we picked it as our wedding day!

I don't know when opening day is for the NHL but for the Carolina Hurricanes it's October 11. I got the TV with 23 days to spare.Caribbean Soul wrote: ↑September 18, 2024 3:52 pm Good timing on that TV, Larry... so I guess you are all set for hockey to start now!

Excellent timing! It gives you time to figure it out and test it to make sure everything works!LIPH wrote: ↑September 18, 2024 4:07 pmI don't know when opening day is for the NHL but for the Carolina Hurricanes it's October 11. Re: New TV Wednesday @ The MSC
Soooo, today E made reservations at the same hotel we stayed at last night. He also cleaned out the fridge, losing a LOT of food, including leftovers from things I have cooked. He ran to the store and got bags of ice for the fridge and freezer to try and keep things cold. Off we both went to work. I got home first, re-packed stuff for the night, and waited for him to get home. He stopped to get a couple of thermometers for the freezers, checking on temps. He also got some dry ice from the grocery store that Cameron works at, just to continue to keep the freezer stuff cold. We got our suitcases, backpacks, and other stuff ready, and out the door to the hotel again. It was nice that the same bartender was there, as well as the gal at the front desk. Fingers crossed it'll be back on tomorrow. Can't afford to lose any more food. (Have I mentioned how wonderful my husband is)?
