FRIDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning Everyone -- Kevin & I both woke around 6:30 and it's still dark outside -- oh how fall is quickly approaching.

We may head to the beach today.

Have a great day!

Good morning, sistah & lurkers! 8)

Grey and foggy in Vacationland this morning. Just going to knock out the usual chores and then head into town for late lunch and happy hour somewhere.

TGIF!

Good morning Linda and Nancy. Other than doing laundry, which I'm doing right now, I don't know what I'll do today. It looks like a nice day so maybe I'll go to the park later.

Afternoon ladies and gents! :)

Busy morning here at work. But I got done what I needed to do.

Doctor appointment this afternoon - was 3:20, but was asked to come earlier, if I could. So I moved it to 2:30. Boss lady is leaving early, so it doesn't matter to her.

Made up our grocery list of what we lost in the fridge, and it's being delivered tonight. It'll be around $175 worth of food. :( It was nice to sleep at home again. :D

Two Oktoberfest's tomorrow, and one is a friends birthday party. :D

88 today, tomorrow the weather starts to get cooler, and some rain later in the day. Sunday's high is only supposed to be 55.

Instead of going to the park I went to the honey store at Broadway At The Beach and did the second mead tasting. I think I figured out why the first tasting was $16 and the second was $24. Four of the 6 meads in the first tasting were 7% or less ABV. All 6 of today's meads were 11.5% or higher, topping out at 13.5%. It's a good thing they only give 3 or 4 ounce samples.

They ID everybody and they have a hand held scanner that scans the bar code on the back of your driver's license. The girl behind the counter called it the "minor decliner". She had a ring in her nose, a pierced eyebrow, purple hair and a lot of tattoos.

In other words, marriage material :pirate:

Putting a bow on a Friday workday. Trying to decide what this evening will entail. Lynn is dog sitting again this weekend so I'm solo. Chance of rain later this evening (9 o'clock or so). Considering going to HS football game. Then again, probably not [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] but it is a 70 degree evening so will be warm out regardless.
Surging Detroit Tigers on the road in Baltimore tonight. That may end up getting my attention, however I'll have to go out to see it as my cable doesn't include the network that televises it. :-?

Afternoon BNer! It's been a grey and mostly misty day here...
Glad I was able to get the food shopping done in between the "heavy mist periods" aka very light showers...
I hope we get some "real" rain soon, as things are getting very dry, which worries me a little. There are some people behind us through the woods who just LOVE their fire-pit and do not seem to heed the open-fire bans - at all!
Some trees are showing a bit of color starting this week... it seems too warm for that; I'm still wearing shorts!

Last day here in Down East Maine. It was a cool, grey day. We made a trip back to Acadia and NE and SW Harbor. Brought dinner back from a roadside seafood shop. I'm doing a load of laundry and then we'll start packing things up.
It's been a long time since we've been here and it continues to pull at our heart strings and all of our senses.
Until next time...a piece of my heart and soul will remain here.

My neighbor had a trash fire get away from him. A friend and I saved his bacon as it took 3 of us to knock down the fire. That was decades ago. I no longer burn anything outside.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Hi there! Our nice weather ends Monday, so I got started on cut outs for kids at our Christmas display. I paid for plywood that will be reimbursed for. Two sheets of good, but not great grade. 93$!!!!

I haven't purchased wood recently.

Hence my apprehension! But it finally started to rain sometime overnight and has been at it all day today... nothing torrential, no wind, just a nice, soft constant, rain... which is exactly what we needed!
