Finally some rain THURSDAY @ the MSC
Good Morning!
Our area has been in a drought for more than 30 days. Last evening it started to rain. Not sure how much it did overnight but it is still raining this morning. We are happy that our new expensive trees are getting watered (and not on our dime). BUT -- the kids land at 1:00 pm and we are hoping that the sun appears sometime during their stay (they fly out Sunday at 1).
Have a great day!

Saw this for the 1st time on the beach yesterday. There were about 6 groups going up and down the shoreline. It was so cool to watch. After some research we found out there is a 4-day American Heart Association horse show fundraising event at a local RV campground.

Rain? What is rain?
Nope, just more snow. Have had about a foot, and more to come today and tomorrow. Took us two hours to get to my office (usually 25 minutes), then E to his office (usually 15 minutes) took an hour. Streets are not plowed well, that's for sure.
We'll probably be home tomorrow. E can work, I'll just take PTO.
Other than that, just weeding through Medicare. My PCP doesn't accept the UHC Medicare plan, so I have to make a change of docs. E sees one that I'll be changing to. Sad, tho. I've been at that PCP practice for 20+ years.
Work is work... 112 more days.

So far no SNOW in our forecast, and had just a bit of rain so weather wise not too shabby here. Lots of sunshine today & tomorrow is planned!SMLCHNG wrote: ↑November 7, 2024 2:03 pm Rain? What is rain?

Hopefully it will stay that way for a few more days so I get to do some leaf raking & maybe even burn some of them while they're dry rather than bagging or piling them up out back on the property. The bummer with the time change is now I don't arrive home from work until after it's dark. Raking in the dark is not something I am a fan of

Linda- What a cool sight indeed! And I love that the riders were so welcoming to the kids as well!
Penny - Bummer you have to change doctors. That is one DISadvantage of many Medcare Advantage plans. I assume this one had other benefits that led you to choosing it over others offered. With your medical history, your current doctor may need a UPS truck to send your records over to your new one! (Yes I know... they are all electronic these days, but the vision still made me giggle just a tad )
Looking at your photo, the temperature is not the only reason you are not running that A/C! YIKES! That's a LOT of snow, especially this early in the year!

I used to see that a lot in the winter the first few years I lived here, they used to allow horses on the beach until around the end of February. I don't know if they still do, I rarely go to the beach in the winter anymore.Saltx3 wrote: ↑November 7, 2024 7:36 am Saw this for the 1st time on the beach yesterday. Those monkeys are about 150 miles south of here. I think they'll either be captured or turned into road pizza before they get this far.

Today is International Stout Day. I just checked my beer supply and I have one stout in the fridge. The Hurricanes have a game at 7:00, I'll celebrate the holiday while I watch the game.

That looks fun! Are you and lunkhead taking riding lessons? He’ll need one of those big Budweiser drought horses.Saltx3 wrote: ↑November 7, 2024 7:36 am Saw this for the 1st time on the beach yesterday. Can you ride bikes on the beach there, too? The sand looks too soft but we did that on Kiawah Island.
