THURSDAY@ the MSC
Good morning all. We have 8 inches of snow and more to come. A friend pulled a car out of a field this AM. Poor kid driving was from Hawaii. It was his first time driving in snow.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

G'morning all!
Pretty sure eight inches of snow is a decade's worth in my area.

Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?
Bobby: No.
Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

8 inches of snow. Heck. I remember walking to school with John Boy Walton and his siblings in 15 inches snow. In bare feet.

Good morning Bill, Charles, and Moooogy!
No snow here - after the 30" a few weeks back, I'm good without it for a while. Tho they're talking about an inch on Monday.
Not much else going on here. Just stoopid work stuff.

Good afternoon. The roofers are noisy. I can't wait for them to get to my building, I should buy some earplugs.

I understand that, Larry. We had that at our apartments several years ago. SO noisy. When is your building scheduled?

Re: THURSDAY@ the MSC
Well what a day and night yesterday.
Peaked at 109°F with 95° and rain forecast for today.
The good news is that the brand new swamp box evaporative air conditioner handled it well.
We have also installed a new solar battery. Despite the cloud cover and running the swamp box all day the solar still managed 100% charge of the battery.
Overnight, we ran the air con until a front came through about 2 AM. The battery stands at 37% as the sun is about to rise. The app says we were 97% self sufficient over the past 24 hours - that 3% is probably due to the oven and stove circuits not being on the battery.
Today will be a test as the forecast is for rain and storms - we'll see how well the system recovers.
So the systems ran well on their first real test.
I have another test coming up, we had a large tree come down at the side of the orchard. So once the storms clear, guess who will be back on the chainsaw (or is that chainsore?). At least it means I will add to both the firewood and garden mulch piles...

They're supposed to start the building next to me tomorrow. If it doesn't rain, they should get to my building Tuesday or Wednesday.

I have shoveled twice. I'll do it again tomorrow . It still beats pushing a mower.
Ha! I just realized how hard it would be to push a mower in the snow.

Evening, peeps. Snowing here, too, and I’m loving it! So is the pup. But Rabz’ 109* sounds pretty nice, too.
Friends arrive tonight, visiting for the weekend. Ready for some debauchery. Happy Friday Eve, y’all!

Evening all!
So, our "coating to an inch" was actually 3" of heavy wet snow... that I had to remove before SoleMate left for his doctor's appointment.
Another inch and our plow guy would have handled it... lucky me!
Then onto 4 loads of "regular" laundry... I am glad I did all the "extra" (aka guest-generated) stuff earlier in the week.
And now, I just realized it is time to go cook dinner... Oh, joy!
Catch everyone again mañana!
