Pearl Harbor Day Saturday at the MSC
A day of infamy, the day Japan attacked the United States at Pearl Harbor, is commemorated with the National Pearl Harbor Day of Remembrance each year on December 7. On that day in 1941, more than 2,400 people died in Japan’s attack on the Hawaiian base of America’s Pacific Fleet. Hundreds of aircraft were destroyed or damaged, as were most of the ships in the harbor, and thousands of service men and women were killed or injured. It was an unprecedented surprise attack that precipitated the United States entry into WW II as we sided with the Allies and declared war on Japan.
My Dad was 14, my Mom was 4. Just something to always remember in this country.
Good morning all. Hope you have a good Saturday. We're heading to Lone Tree Brewing later to celebrate their anniversary.

Good late morning ladies!
Rememberances to those who lost their life in that brutal attack. A somber moment indeed.
This weekends schedule shows list of things want to do, need to do. We'll see which boxes get checked
Shout out to Wayne's (Santa) Boise St. Broncos as they punch their ticket to the football playoffs!

Good morning Penny, Debbie and Ken.
Pearl Harbor was a month after my father's 17th birthday. He joined the navy a few days later.
My first trip to Hawaii was for a Buffett show in 2005. I went to Pearl Harbor while I was there. There was still oil leaking from one of the ships 64 years after it sunk.

December 7th is a triple Day of Remembrance for us...
Pearl Harbor - obviously - which was the reason my Dad enlisted in the Navy too.
Also on 12/7/1999 Jim's Mom had a bad stroke... it was touch and go for months but she finally got to the point of at-home care in mid 2001.
Then, on the same date in 2011, she passed away - exactly 12 years later.
On a brighter note... our good friend from Australia is here on business and will be coming for dinner later today. It's been 2 years since his last visit, so it will be fun to catch up!
Moog - I gotta ask... drones over NJ?
WTH? That has not made the news up this way...

World News Tonight did cover it. Its searchable on the net. These seem to be commercial sized drones. They have been flying over sensitive areas. Some were over my town last couple of nights. Clusters of at least 6

Hi Kids!
Pearl Harbor is a bucket list item for me. I am always in awe how willing young men were to enlist to defend our county. I am not sure that is the case nowadays.
I have been slowly getting ornaments up in the tropical tree. Haven’t felt much like doing it, but Peter Mayer and Buffett Christmas songs have been helping. I do enjoy seeing ornaments that bring back memories, though.
Enjoy your evening, all!

The Hurricanes are playing the Islanders today and the game starts in a few minutes. I should get a beer and settle into couch potato mode.

Re: Pearl Harbor Day Saturday at the MSC
Another late flyby. Did some cleaning and late lunch prep. Had a nice time and meal with Kevin’s cousins and aunt here at the house.
Church tomorrow morning then I’m heading to a “Christmas Tree festival” in North Myrtle Beach with 2 neighbor girlfriends. Kevin and the guys will hang here watching football. And probably smoking a cigar.
See you all tomorrow.

But then again... that just might make those drone operators decide to leave the area!!!
