I donated platelets yesterday and I had an appointment to donate whole blood next Thursday. That's 8 days later and you only have to wait 7 days. When I got up this morning I had a message on the Red Cross Blood Donor app telling me my appointment next week was cancelled. No explanation, just my appointment was cancelled. I called to find out why. Apparently, instead of the normal 3 units of platelets they also took a unit of plasma yesterday. They've done that before and if it helps someone I don't care what they take from my blood. But it would be nice if they had told me so when I got the cancellation notice I would have known what it was about.
That's what I usually say when someone asks me how it's going, "so far, so good...."
It got up to 60° yesterday for the first time in nearly 4 months, so maybe Spring is coming?
My water pump in the well keeps kicking on. I shut the power to the well off and have waited 4 hours to hear from the only plumber within 20 miles to call back.
First world problems.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Had a nice surprise this morning - my boss brought me flowers, a card (that many signed) and a huge cake for my retirement. Make me cry.. but happy tears.
It's a beautiful day today, close to 70.
One more day of F/T work...
Oh, Larry - I'm having my retirement party at Lone Tree.

No water is more of a 3rd world problem in my book!
When ours did that it was because the pressure tank in the basement was not keeping pressure properly, so the well pump had to keep cycling.
That tank costs more to replace than the well pump (we've done both more than once in the 30 years we have lived here) so hopefully you have a different problem.

Thanks for the insight, Elaine. The plumber who installed the system never called me back, but an old contractor friend did. He said the same thing about the tank, but it's only money.

You are welcome! Yeah... it's always something...
Luckily for us, the well company who put the system in left their sticker on the pressure tank, so I knew who to call. I guess a plumber or a contractor could handle the tank stuff though, no digging involved with that just pipe hook-ups and money!
Hope you get everything up and running correctly ASAP!
