Day Light Saving SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. Here comes the sun! I love springing forward.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good Morning Everyone!
The neighborhood "Crawl into Spring" was interesting
. We co-hosted the 4th stop (of 9)....30 minute timer at each stop. By the time the 30 people got to the 6th stop it was heading towards crazy. BUT -- it was fun and we got to meet some new folks. The good of our community far outweighs the bad that happens in most communities.
It's a beautiful day here in Myrtle Beach !
Enjoy your Sunday,

Morning, Kids.
Not much going on here. Glad it is sunny. Working on getting some motivation to finish laundry and grocery shop. Maybe in an hour or so. Been saying that since 6 this morning…

Hiya Bill, Linda, Mel, and BN!!
Slept in a LITTLE bit.. bacon/eggs for breakfast. Tended to some laundry. Unloaded/loaded the dishwasher. So moving at a slow pace, but getting a few things done.
DU won their last regular season game, which was on TV.
That's about it here. Gonna fold some laundry and make dinner again.

Good afternoon/morning depending on your time zone. Maybe I'll go out and do something before the hockey game starts. I should probably check to make sure but I think the Hurricanes play at 4:00 today, or maybe it's 5:00.

A little smoke smell again at church today. Source of 20,000 acres (so far) forrest fire was a 40 yr old woman who was burning debris in the back yard of her single family home community that backed up to trees. She’s currently in jail.
The fire is now 55% contained.

Speaking of fires... LIPH, can I assume you have seen coverage of the fires in on LI?
They seem to be under control by this morning, but as of last night Sunrise Highway was closed from Patchogue all the way out past Westhampton! It opened again just shy of Hampton Bays!

Agreed. We saw the coverage of her and her crime on our local news. She should also be made to pay for the firefighters and all the damage.

I heard about the fires on LI but I didn't realize Sunrise Highway had been closed. Out there on the east end you don't have a lot of options getting in and out.Caribbean Soul wrote: ↑March 9, 2025 5:07 pmAs she should be!Saltx3 wrote: ↑March 9, 2025 4:22 pm A little smoke smell again at church today. We went to the big city yesterday and got some stuff at Costco. Then our youngest Daughter and SIL came and made us dinner and we hung out and the guys shot some pool.
Today Bryan did a grocery run while I did laundry. Then we processed the pork tenderloin we got at Costco. We have lots of chops in the freezer and we cooked some in the instant pot and shredded it for meals later this week and I made pork fried rice tonight.
Looking forward to warmer weather!

Yes... It was closed for over a day! I know the Southern State would be one option but that does not go out east as far as Sunrise does...LIPH wrote: ↑March 9, 2025 6:27 pmI heard about the fires on LI but I didn't realize Sunrise Highway had been closed. Oh and there was an update this morning... APPARENTLY, the initial blaze was started by some friggin' IDIOTS cooking s'mores in their yard - at like 9:30AM, going inside and leaving the fire unattended.
