Good morning Lime & The Lurkers........

I need a concert this weekend. But I know the CRB in Jax not gonna work for me.
Contemplating Marshall Crenshaw this weekend [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]
We've got Burton Cummings from The Guess Who fame next Friday so maybe I'll just wait until that comes around.

Enjoy your 13th day of March everyone!

Hello friends!

Not much happening here at Carolina Cabana. Will continue with some crap plant pulling this morning and then taking a girlfriend to her dr appt.

We'll be getting a few quotes for painting 1 of our lonnnng foyer wall (50'x9'). It's currently navy blue which we love BUT the young sellers used flat paint. Ugh. All you have to do is look cross-eyed at the wall and the paint comes off. I painted all the rooms in our last 2 homes (except the stairwells) but this one with the 9' ceilings and it being the foyer we'll pay someone. We'll soon be getting paint for both bathrooms (same color) which I'll do.

Also looking to get quotes for lawn irrigation systems. We're not doing the digging/killing weeds, then paying to have the lawn aerated, fertilized and seeded just to spend hours moving sprinklers around.

Have a great day everyone!

Sounds like a new band, maybe you should see them in concert. ;)

Good morning all.

Took it easy yesterday, back was feeling the work I was doing around the home. Today I'm doing a test run on packing. We'll be gone 12 days, and will need several changes of clothes for day/night/beach. I'm hoping to use the medium and small suitcases, and not have to use the large.

That's about all from here - just put a load of towels in the wash, so that's the other fun for the day.

Good afternoon.

I just got back from donating platelets at the Red Cross. They were busy today. Five other platelet donors and 6 or 7 whole blood donors while I was there. The employee who took my donation had a nameplate on his shirt that said "Ray". I'll go out on a limb and say that's an Americanized version of his real name because he sounds like Dracula when he talks. He's a nice guy, he's taken care of me before.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Evening all!

Dr. C - I believe the CRB FL shows will be broadcast on RM so at least you can get an audio fix.

Penny - What did I miss? Where are you headed for those 12 days? Someplace fun, I assume! :D
FTR, that sounds like way too long a time for just a medium & small suitcase, but then again, I tend to over-pack!

Larry - maybe "Ray" is just having some fun at work by putting on a Transylvanian accent... it certainly fits his job!

Ha! Good one rabz. At a doctor appointment, the serious young doc commented about the lack of incoming urologists coming in. I said," they're probably all p!ssed off." He laughed.

We had lunch with my 86 year old fishing buddy. The dude is remarkable. He is quite deaf and his shoul;ders hurt after yard work, but still sharp as a dart and happy with each day.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

No one wants to hear me sing. Like cats on a fence. I do sing in the car (by myself) all the time. :D

We're going to Galveston for 3 days, then a week's cruise to Honduras, Belize, and 2 stops in Mexico, then back to Galveston for 2 days. I got all of the clothes in the medium suitcase, and the small will be for all the toiletries. :)
